Yes once I was going to Gangtok and before Areria, fuel gauze of the Tank of my AmazeS itdec went down to 6 litre mark.However, We found a fueltank before Areria. In Nov.2019 I visited Gujarat and travelled Ahmedabad Dwarka ,Bet Dwarka, Dieu, Gir,Statue of Unity Ke vadia,Vadodara on Desire diesel but did not face any Problem even not a single puncture in the journey o f over2500 km.We followed the same precautions as Narrated by you. I am a frequent road tripper In 2009 I visited Uttarakhand Chardham,Via Rishikesh Hardwar to Gngotri,Yamunotri and Kedarnath. We visited Pointa Sahib,Hathini Barrage , Chandigarh, Manali And Rohtang.Total milage 4400 Km. with only one puncture at Hardware,Chandi Devi.
