  • Here is an easy way to fit 2 welders or a welder and plasma cutter on the $40 Harbor Freight welding cart. I am able to fit a Hypertherm Powermax 350 Plasma Cutter on the bottom, with a Miller Matic 211 on top.

I've got a multi-process welder, is it practical to modify the cart to hold two tanks? I have the small ones, but one Argon and the other 75%Argon/25%Co2 for mig. So it would be nice not to have to swap bottles on the cart. my welder has two connections for each, but they don't matter if the bottles have to be swapped.

If only there was some type of machine to join those two pieces of spacer block metal together🤔. Just kidding😅 nice mods

Thanks for the info. I did this mod on my cart. Was perfect for my plasma on the bottom.

After having the larger welding cart for a couple years, how do you like it and would you do it again?

How do martin,as always tinkering with things yep we can always inprove things.!hey you might wanna take a firewall rubber grommet in that hole or a truckers light seal in there to keep sharp edge from biting ur cords.just my tip of the hat for you!!!least i could do you since you give us wj n xj guys super tips.how u like that plazma knife is it worth the money??i saw on utube a guy running chinese cutter that a 45 something that also doubled as tig n stick machine.to boot the tig function had standoff jump start ,rather than scratch like my titanium 200.would be good for just beginer tigging.whats ur take on that.???snookie pa.!!!keep wrenching....

Thanks for the tips. If I was looking for a all-in-one welder I would go with a Miller TIG, Stick and Mig. yes I like my Plasma, I've had it know for 22 years.

I just bought a 3 tier welding trolley to fit my Tig/Stick/Plasma Cutter and separate Gasless Mig welder.
The modifications I had in mind are very similar to yours and once I determine the maximum diameter of the Argon cylinder I will be modifying the trolley to suit.
I'd rather have additional shelf space than too large a bottle storage area!
My trolley is rated at 80kg so I don't think it's going to be overloaded and my Tig/Stick/Plasma Cutter is IGBT so it's very light and compact.
Your new trolley looks very neat, is there enough of a gap between the machines for cooling?

Yes plenty of room between the machines for cooling and if you have a tig get a bigger bottle than you think you need you go through a lot of gas with one of those.

@@martinbuilt Thank you for that tip, I was thinking that it would make sense to get the largest bottle I could because I'm a novice and will need to practice for a while, even though my machine is DC only and I won't be welding aluminium.
I really like how you carried out your modifications, especially moving the shelves back to use the excess space in the bottle area and moving the shelf supports.
I look forward to watching your welding adventures. Subscribed.

I bought this same cart for the parts. Cheap enough. I took a 2 foot by 3 foot tool cart and cut the top pan into a L shape. A big enough hole to fit the HF cart in after cutting off the part where the bottle sits. Then cut an 8 inch half circle slot in the top tray of the cart to slide the bottle in. I also removed the wheels from the cart and added a rear axle with 10 inch pneumatic tires and two crazy wheels in the front with 4 inch pneumatic tires. I have my welder, plasma cutter, hood, tools and consumables on the rig with a small work table left over. The tires are to roll around in my gravel driveway ;)

Sounds like quite the rig now all you need to do is add a couple 4 inch stacks to it. Thanks for watching 👀

I know this isn’t related to your video but I was wondering if you know of a cam sprocket tool similar to the one you made that I could buy?

      @martinbuilt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

as far as I know there isn't one. If could find some time I will make them or have them made.

@@martinbuilt I have the same machine. Is this cart rickety with that much weight?
