Bigfoot, Obsessed, Obsession, McGruff and Tuff E Nuff battle for the Freestyle win in Lancaster, CA! The TRAXXAS Monster Truck Destruction from the AV Fair!
It really pleases me to see these other shows still using cars and stuff. Monster Jam has fallen to such a low point at this point in time I'm not sure it's even worth watching them anymore.
Nice job by Larry Swim and BigFoot at the AV, need more trucks on this tour too, miss Grave Digger, Taurus, Frequent Flyer, CA Kid, AM PM Boss, and more that use to come down to the old AV fairgrounds, I have footage from the 90's I should put on
USHRA/FELD has always employed privateer teams/trucks in their events, just usually they haven't let their trucks run on other circuits (although there have been some exceptions over the years), & Swanson's team has always been his own operation so he can contract with whoever he chooses... Look for the 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals from around 2002-2003 to see Bigfoot vs. Gravedigger. It would be cool to see them go head to head currently though. I guess Chandler has never gotten over his disagreement about the direction Monster Jam was taking the sport in, because I imagine they would welcome him as it would make them more money.
He's right, while FELD owns most of the trucks on Monster Jam, there are a few independent teams. Avenger, Bounty Hunter, Obsession/Obsessed, Fluffy, GMG, and a few others are independently owned, so they can tour wherever the hell they want. Other trucks like Max D, Grave Digger, El Toro, and most others can only perform at Monster Jam sponsored events.
that was really good coverage. looking forward to Monster Jam coverage in the winter
