Imagine being so good at bodywork that you can recreate part of a famous body kit from scratch just from pictures. That's the work of a master craftsman.
Dude, he made gtr front end to a wagon, nissan, and then recreated a full body kit just from pictures 🤣🤣🤣 this here is walking in the park for him

Here in NZ all you need to do is plan for nice sunny weather and it will rain for you. It's easy once you figure out the system haha.

When I was there it had sunshine and 42 degrees Celsius / 108 Fahrenheit. 😁 I see, mysteriously you have the same weather in NZ like we here in Germany 😁

"Good enough is the enemy of humanity." That extra time spent on gaps and body lines is what separates a great build from "it looks nice while its moving" builds.
A short little project like this is a nice change of pace from the Skygea, always happy to see more!
Yeah for sure, always nice having more than one project so you can jump around and keep things from getting too repetitive.
Adding the Logo just makes it Legit AF, Been following your work for a while its definitely inspiring, this channel is part of the reason i got into a body tech apprentice job, learn the fundamentals to bondo and body work and then do cool shit like this!

I've been sneaking the drawing in a bit in these last videos. It's a lot easier to just show people what I'm doing instead of trying to reassure everyone by saying "trust the vision" haha

I think everyone else is just a big baby haha, I genuinely don't feel itchy at all. Either that or I'm always itchy and I just don't notice it anymore lol.

would recommend you use a rubber spudger or like a used rubber slipper to push the filler within the crevices since the mix you use is quite viscus.

I think some kind of custom snorkel would fit the build, like its an illegal car that runs from the police in the future, there could be a lot of dust in said future and since parts would be hard to find, saving your engine and your air filter would make sense!

Another one! 👍 Are you gonna extend the front bumper ends(right & left) to meet the fenders?
There will be an extra flare on top that fills in the gap, check the sketch at the end of the video to see what I mean.

From what material is your logo that you've " casted " in?
Standard printer paper on a run of the mill printer. Just cut a few slits so that you can roll airbubbles out and that's all you need to do.
@@TofuAutoWorks you could try to engrave your logo in the edge of your custom tail light :)
So you have an official touch on every part you've build.

I love this build i started watching it since when you had a bodykit and the miata was beige, but i think you do too much exterior parts and not enough engine mods, but thats just my opinion
Hey where did you get your body filler boards? I’ve always wanted one but cannot find any!
My board is just a scrap piece of flat aluminium from a bonnet or something. You don't need anything flash.
So you cut it, to glue it back together? To adjust the Meassurements or for Stability to remove Tensions?
Took about 20mm out of the back of the fender to bring the angle back in a bit. They kicked out pretty far and it didn't look right in my opinion.
Now u gotta 2 rotor swap it 😉

Not sure when / if I'll do anything for an NB. Really it's just a matter of getting a fun idea that I want to try out.

What do you use to make your molds!?
Plenty of mold making videos on this channel, this build is more of a 'quick and dirty' type deal, I'd recommend some of my latest GTR Stagea episodes for mold making.
would adding water to the fiberglass while cutting reduce the risk of fibers in the air?
It might but I've burned out a tool in the past from the slurry that was produced clogging up the airways, so now I just sort of make the dust and deal with it. I have plans to work on improving my dust extraction for my next shop, this one is a lost cause though.

How many hours did this swap take? You seem very efficient!
Around 2 weeks, maybe 60 - 80 hours? It's difficult to judge because filming adds a lot of time as well.
