The Song Maiden wordlessly depicts the story of a young girl whose childhood was cut short due to a forced marriage at a very young age.
THE SONG MAIDEN SYNOPSIS
This short animated film is about a young girl referred to as ‘The Song Maiden’ whose freedom was cut short right at birth as she is betrothed to a renowned figure in the village.
The maiden however like every child just wants to be free, play and be independent .
Her independence is however short lived, as her life takes a horrifying turn, and she finds herself in the local wedding ceremony to her betrothed.
She tries to seek freedom and escape from it and goes to a mountain top and lets herself fly into space.
