Great video from as you say a top station. Although there was only one i enjoyed the GBRf freight train being as they are my favorite freight operator. Keep safe, regards Gary.
Thanks very much, this was a great station to come to and one that I will happily come back to and spend much longer here, the pints could certainly do with something haha
Thanks very much, I think my ears were bleeding by the time I was done here with those points screeching. But then I did love the sound of the trains passing over the points
Another amazing film Jarred, think it's gonna get ever busier from here through to London with trains from Portsmouth, Haslemere, Alton and so forth, enjoyed as always, keep up the good work and the standard thumbs up from me as always
Thanks very much, this was the best station of the for me a country mile. There was so much happening, I'm really looking forward to getting the rest of the line completed
This is probably something of a silly question, but would it be a good idea for CrossCountry to get tri-modes (like Class 769s but 125 capable on overhead wire) for this route? I’ve looked at the British railways map and only about 1/4 of the route between Manchester and Southampton is unelectrified. If XC got a smallish fleet of tri-modes that they could use for only Southampton-Birmingham/Manchester paths (or perhaps even Edinburgh/Glasgow to make use of electrification there), they could cut a large amount of diesel under the wire (or above the 3rd rail) running from their route.
Well to be honest I don't see why they haven't already looked into getting something like that. It would work well for them, especially with the routes that they work on. Maybe in a few years time they will get a more modern fleet for their network
Dark history on this one, nice station though. Sweet grinding... yeah! You picked a great spot again. Beauty of a 66, even the kid got the willies, Haha! I really like the 166 Class, is that wrong? Once again a great film with top shelf sounds, so glad I got caught up with where you've been. Thanks and stay safe! B.P.
This was the best station of the day by a country mile, there was so much going on at any one time and there was a constant buzz with people walking from one platform to another. I think the GWR 166 has a bit of character to it so I can see why you like it so much!!
That noisy point on PL1 is supposed to be one of those special ones that has it's own special lube. There is a label on the actuator that says 'do not use oil on this point, only special stuff'. I say if it squeaks it needs lube. That particular one has sounded like it for many years, but nothing gets done, so it must be OK.
Unfortunately I can't say that I do remember as I have so many comments on my films it's hard to keep up, I'm not to sure when I will next be going there but if you keep an eye on my channel I'll have the dates posted at some stage
Most of the time I am on my own when I am filming but lately I have had a few mates on mine join up and it's been good fun. I have done videos in the past showing my face if you look through my channel
I have some new stations for u to film at: Warrington Bank Quay Wigan North Western Oxenholme Lake District Penrith North Lakes Motherwell All on the west coast mainline
He's told me about that and I've seen a few channels trying to use my channel name. But they won't ever get close to being anything like me purely by the way that I go about things.
Great video again. Those points sound like my poor old knees in the morning lol. Keep those videos coming. Regards
Thanks very much, if my knees ever sounded like that I would go to the hospital haha

Even having just the one freight train coming through here does make a world of difference!
Fantastic Filming Tornado922 also a lovely station basingstoke is 👍 Looks like them points could do with a little oil lol

Thanks for your approval on the 166 GWR, and this is a Station to keep on the "Return to List". Thx again! B.P.
You should visit every station on a line
That's what I'm currently doing.............
Can you do a video at Lowestoft, Sheringham, Felixstowe and Great Yarmouth please?
I will think about it
Nice video
Thanks very much
can you come to starbeck
Lovely video and desiros
Thanks very much
Can you go to Ipswich, Stowmarket or Norwich again? I live in Stowmarket
I have every intention to do all three at some stage this year
Which platform are the squeaky points on? I could report it to network rail if you want.
I can't remember
Tornado922 ok.
Can you do trains at Salisbury at the WEML please tornado
I'll look into it
@@Tornado922 okay
Those points need oiling I say

Oh ok so it needs lube not oil because it will damage the points
105 likes 2 dislikes.
Perfectly balanced as all things should be.
There seems to be a constant amount of dislikes on nearly all of my videos, it's either 2 or 3 mostly.
@@Tornado922 that's unusual.
@@Tornado922 maybe theres a few people who hate trains but that's nothing compared to the 105 likes there are.
Just having that amount of likes works for me!
Can you do Manchester Victoria?
I will be going there later this year
After Hook can you do Liss.
I meant Winchfield
I'm covering all the stations down the line
Heya Tornado. Do you remember me? We used to talk in comments awhile ago. Was wondering when youll next be visiting Leamington Spa? Thanks buddy
Unfortunately I can't say that I do remember as I have so many comments on my films it's hard to keep up, I'm not to sure when I will next be going there but if you keep an eye on my channel I'll have the dates posted at some stage
@@Tornado922 alright tornado! Glad to hear back from you! Im in love with your channel atm as i love trains
Well thank you kindly for saying so
When will u do hook
I have filmed it but I have yet to get it uploaded
Do you film these vids alone?
Will you do a face reveal?
Most of the time I am on my own when I am filming but lately I have had a few mates on mine join up and it's been good fun. I have done videos in the past showing my face if you look through my channel
@@Tornado922 ok I did see your face through the reflection of some trains if that's what you mean or you deliberately showed your face
Can you go to Salisbury station
I probably won't go there, I have been told by a few people that it isn't worth going to
@@Tornado922 😂
is it just me or the front of the SWR class 450s always look so dirty.
The whole fleet looks filthy
@@Tornado922 haha yes
And also why aren't you doing videos of Farewell videos to a train company?
I have no reason to do such a video, it doesn't interest me in doing something like that
I have some new stations for u to film at:
Warrington Bank Quay
Wigan North Western
Oxenholme Lake District
Penrith North Lakes
Motherwell
All on the west coast mainline
Thanks for the suggestions. I wont be able to get to all of them but I can get some of them done
pls do trains at manchester oxford road
I have films from there on my channel
2:13 a dragon was on the track
2:13
1:29
Very enjoyable film with great station architecture. I agree with tornado that the new livery for the 159" s is very poor and lacks imagination
I like the new South Western Railway livery
can i have a shout out
Unfortunately I don't do shoutouts on my channel unless that person is filming along side me
Someone is trying to be you
What do you mean?
@@Tornado922 Someone had the name ' Tornado 922' in Kieran's live stream the other night

@Tornado922: You're a great Trainspotter. I do train spotting on Reece's Transport VIDS. But I don't think I'm anywhere compared to you
