Let's talk about Charlie, His father didn't love him,his didn't give him the money. His gf cheat on him with the brother he loves. His business is smashed And no one cares
Raymen was not hopeless. He was different in what society calls normal, but the fact at what he could do with those poker cards & phone book.... He was Charlie's Rain Man....
Not really a what society calls normal moment he was severely autistic and extremely intelligent which isnt even common among people that autistic compared to the majority of the population which isn’t severely autistic lmao
I watched this movie at the theater and I thought Tom and Dustin did a Great Job. Dustin role touched home with me because, I have a brother that reminds me of Rain man
my middle child and second son is autistic. . . I'm going through some 1/4 life crisis right now, I did somewhat well for myself in my late teens and become a high earner in my 20s despite my circumstances. I badly want to do right by him, but since reaching my 30s I concluded that money is actually not the measuring stick that determines success and I've somewhat lost the motivation to do what I do, so I slack a lot and it makes me so guilty that I can't hold eye contact with my son who; since he's autistic; doesn't take eye contact all that well anyways, but he sometimes looks into my eyes and I feel like he sees into me and I feel like I'm failing him... I want to raise my eldest to look after his brother, but I'd also like to enable my autistic boy to be independant... somehow I can just tell that he's high functioning and learns a bit different, it's unfortunate his mother uses it as a crutch or excuse for why he can't do or learn things instead of acknowledging that others who were the same have learnt so many things and we merely have to learn and figure out how to teach him. . . .
Raymond was right when he said the wheel would stop at 20 because the casino manipulated the machine. So what is the ending? I think those doctors are after the money too.
8:30 "secret money ritual" caught me so off guard LMAO
It is that Scientology shit I tell u

Don’t force your oldest to care for any of their siblings!

One of the first films about autism.
I love recaps for shit teir movies I’ll never watch. Seeing a recap of Rain Man , an Oscar winning best picture feels abit dirty lol
A great movie with a bad ending
Man Tom Cruise has had such an outstanding career
There was a Hindi movie made on this premise called Sadma. Though a copy of this one, it too was an incredible movie.
sadma came out in 1983, rainman in 1988. Get your facts right

Kids dont watch movies anymore because of them
And some of us can't watch them for a lack of opportunity so these recaps are very helpful
