People want this killer to sound creepier but I think this voice fits quite well. It's a robot that's original purpose was to work for humans so it'd sound friendly but it was enlightened by alien technology that made it a self aware killing machine. The voice isn't supposed to make it seem evil, it's about what it says
Exactly what I was thinking. One thing I like is how the morbid and cryptic phrases are contrasted by the original programming's phrases, all about securing genes and the integrity of them. Like, imagine being the crew that it hunted down, you hear its usual blabbering as you watch it pick alien flora. Then it slowly turns to you, and says, with the exact same tone and inflection of every other thing it has said, "Count your days, worm. I already have." (I know, cheesy, but it's the best I could come up with)
Making it sound creepier would make it a lot cringier in my opinion. I've found that monotone voices like this killer has are more creepy with these types of phrases knowing the context of what it's saying.
It's already creepy for the fact this seemingly average male voice is coming from this tall lanky amalgam of flesh and metal. Even then,you can hear it has a deeper layer to his voice as well.
I'd love to hear what Trapper would say. I thinking that if they give what killers could have a voice, there should be an opinion in the settings to switch in and off voice lines.

When the singularity hooks someone, it's voicelines really make me think that the entity has some form of control. This would most likely be true as half of the hooked voicelines suggest that the singularity is turning them into something that fits it's design. But the only design made when a survivor is hooked is their death for the entity
it's probably just a delusion that the entity casted over singularity. similar to the theory that spirit sees her father, wraith sees his boss, etc. to keep killing. singularity's delusion is that being sacrificed evolves humans instead of feeding the entity

Self awareness means he became aware of the more large and abstract concepts around him such as time and in this case as it relates tedious actions. He knows he is a more dangerous being but this doesn't give him immunity to the efforts of the people he's hunting. Rather than self reflect he deflects the fact that he more than likely fucked up by allowing his prey to pallet him by just calling his victims annoying for just trying to survive. Kinda like how we view a fly we just can't seem to kill.
I think its the entity nerfing them. It wants the hunt to last so it can feed on their fear besides the sacrifice. Otherwise it wouldn't put the hatch and the generators in the arenas

He sees them as worthless and hates their existence, he simply wants them to die as fast as possible so he can get on with using their bodies to improve his.
I guess The Entity controls him in some sort of way, which is maybe true, because I don’t think The Entity wants a quick painless death to Survivors. I heard people say Singularity is supposed to help humans (I don’t know if it’s his true lore), but if it is, then The Entity must be controlling him

Their second album is called Singularity and one of their most popular songs on that album is called Quantum Flux. One very iconic line from that song is "Infinite Potential" I would have gone crazy if the killer actually said "Infinite Potential" because It would all make sense especially since the killer has the strive to grow grow grow
"Singularity" is literally the term for when technology starts growing so fast that it is no longer reversible. One such case of Technological Singularity is when AI becomes self-aware/sentient and surpasses humans, which is literally what this killer is.
i really hope they never, ever made him sound like a more "forced" evil robot, the dude sounds legit like Text To Speech, which is perfect, hell, if they even made the voice with that program, i wouldn't complain. He sounds like an authentic artificial voice and i wouldn't change it any other way.

This serves a unique fear for people that isn't often touched upon and I love it!! But I honestly thought this was a crossover chapter to virus an old movie where an alien AI uses corpses and attaches them to robotic parts making zombie robots.
I think there should be more killers with voice lines. Usually I get annoyed playing the game because I honestly half the time am terrible at the game as a killer and I'm always met with toxic survivors. Though, playing the game as this guy, I actually still have fun regardless because he's just so goddamn cool and funny how he goes from robotic and blank to straight up disrespectful and sassy.

I can only see one way they could have made those voice lines even better. By adding some in different languages. Like Jacket's tape recorder voice lines from Payday 2 with a different voice actor for each languages. It would have made it much scarier than it already is and add a idea of universality to the apocalyptic lore
Another fun thing to draw inspiration from would be the Master from the first Fallout game, since you could have three different AI voices to imply the AI itself has been thrown out of wack since the explosion rattled it's brains and burnt its organic covering off.
@@psylina Im not a fan of the lines used when fiding survivors in lockers, originally he would say them while searching for Chris, while here it just doesn't fit the situtation, I'd preffer him to say these lines wether he can't find any survivors for certain amount of time, as a replacement for locker grabs Id go with, 'There you are!' and 'Found you!' Its a shame devs didn't use those, they fit quite well imo.

Y'know, one of my favorite things about The Singularity is that he's trying to help. "Prepare to become something better," "You are about to be made into something perfect," "Yes, it hurts. Growth often does." He's hurting and killing them "for their/humanity's own good"
In his lore he sees humans as worthless, not even good enough to breathe the air that he doesn't even need. So he kills them and gives them purpose, that purpose of course is to make him stronger, hence his "you'll fit into my design" line.
It's kinda weird. His Mori, his trailer all give the impression he wants to kill but his voicelines say he only wants to modify people's genes. Make them "grow" make them strong.
I love that they used the Matthew TTS voice for him, that’s easily one of the best TTS voices ever made. Sounds way more human than the others and can be used to instill a lot of emotions, including fear

Like Jacket's tape recorder voice lines from Payday 2 with a different voice actor for each languages. It would have made it much scarier than it already is and add a idea of universality to the apocalyptic lore
Another fun thing to draw inspiration from would be the Master from the first Fallout game, since you could have three different AI voices to imply the AI itself has been thrown out of wack since the explosion rattled it's brains and burnt its organic covering off.

They gave It so many lines yet they skipped and missplaced so many Wesker lines, but at least he talks.
Most of Wesker's lines still makes sense, yes they couldve used more but it's enough for a more focused and thrilled Wesker
@@psylina Im not a fan of the lines used when fiding survivors in lockers, originally he would say them while searching for Chris, while here it just doesn't fit the situtation, I'd preffer him to say these lines wether he can't find any survivors for certain amount of time, as a replacement for locker grabs Id go with, 'There you are!' and 'Found you!' Its a shame devs didn't use those, they fit quite well imo.

Y'know, one of my favorite things about The Singularity is that he's trying to help. "Prepare to become something better," "You are about to be made into something perfect," "Yes, it hurts. Growth often does." He's hurting and killing them "for their/humanity's own good"
Nope, for his own good
In his lore he sees humans as worthless, not even good enough to breathe the air that he doesn't even need. So he kills them and gives them purpose, that purpose of course is to make him stronger, hence his "you'll fit into my design" line.
It's kinda weird. His Mori, his trailer all give the impression he wants to kill but his voicelines say he only wants to modify people's genes. Make them "grow" make them strong.
I love that they used the Matthew TTS voice for him, that’s easily one of the best TTS voices ever made. Sounds way more human than the others and can be used to instill a lot of emotions, including fear
