Open Letter to Maverick Carter and Lebron James…..
The show is an amazing show! This episode was the dopest episode yet. That being said, forget the analytics about attention span, etc., make this show an hour long show.
Drew Barrymore is so dope and her story is and has been the autobiography of child actors for years. And giving that question at the end and listening to her testimony was dope, but that episode should’ve and had to allow room for Kyrie, Idris and Paul to answer too!! Compelling, human tv that deserved an hour….
    Blessed Regards,
    Roygfan.. 👊🏾✊🏾

Honestly as I keep lookin back at different episodes...it becomes apparent that it was Drew Barrymore who took the Drivers Seat and Kept the conversation flowing she became the host without even realizing it.... she set the tone and kept it in the pocket and encouraged openness..... No Episode will match this one....the Drew is Beautiful Human Being

This is such a powerful show. It at times is healing for me, helps me understand me and that I am not alone in my drive and thought process, and the impact of sport on me and now being a black male who is a leader. The question is powerful "how do you forgive yourself" Drew's response is powerful. For me at 60, I have to answer that question now.Painful but needed. And Kylie's point of wearing the crown, "it comes with the terroitory" is powerful, Meantal Health is important. This show is a must hear for many, espeacially Black men.

I can see why i like Idris as an actor b/c he carries a level of sincerity as a person that conveys itself in his craft, for sure. But,..(respectfully)...he was bringing a certain innocence to the conversation of playing certain roles (particularly, AA characters) that betrays the ultimate litmus test for any actor.....believability. This was painfully evident in the MJ reference. The question of whether he can actually hoop was a hurdle if not for himself but for the audience he would be seen by (which in no small part would be decidedly AA). Kyrie's facial expression at the onset says it all. God Bless ALL my brothers. Peace

Great convo! I simply love this show. Every episode is enlightening. However, I think there is no learning more liberating than learning from failure/loss. Just staying focused on the process definitely leads to excellence. But there is something about experiencing failure that opens us up more to reflect, apply, and build resilience.

I hope Kyrie does more platforms like this and maybe even teams up with someone for his own Podcast. Drew Barrymore, I hope the same for you regarding a Podcast. You have so much depth in your heart that comes out Beautifully in your words that needs to be shared with the world. I loved every moment of these subjects and I def will be watching more!!!The Shop, You have a new fan in me! Well done.

Mav moderates these conversations so effortlessly; the transitions from topic to topic are seamless. And no man is ever left behind - all of the guests do well passing and sharing the ball. *Pun intended* I say this to say --- thank you for this!

This is by far, the best episode on The Shop. It made so much sense that Lebron was not on it IMO. His presence alone would have derailed the light shone on Kyrie's story and the other guests. On personal note, this is the best episode because Kyrie & Drew's story and experiences speaks to what someone is currently going through and what I believe everyone will or might have gone through. I'm definitely watching this again.

I watched this show religiously over the past few years. Never falls short. Always robust with tangible, life applicable lessons. I've always loved the array of talent ranging from cinema to athletics, all bonding through commonality of wisdom gained through perseverance and resilience. But THIS EPISODE. Hands down the best one yet. Tipping the scale on both high IQ & EQ. It was palpable. This was elevated conversation that felt good for the soul. Thank you. Side note: I wouldn't be surprised if this yields an Emmy nomination.

It was good to see kyrie on there and to hear him talk and see his expressions on certain things because let's be honest, that Man and I call him a Man because he is has been in the 🔥🔥 seat for a few years now about his situations and don't get me wrong his criticism has been self inflicted but you can tell he's human and you might not agree with things that he's done but he is as real as it gets and I believe he is going to change the narrative of the way some, not all because people are always going to have something to say but as long as he has the peace of mind and continue to be a better person because I do believe he is a good guy everything is going to continue to work out for him and his family so appreciate this episode and thanks to Kyrie Irving for letting us in even if its just for a few minutes 👍👍
