I do not have a BMW, but I do APPRECIATE for BMW owners the amazing help this gentleman and his video are providing to the world! Its genius and a time saver, although you do have to disconnect the lines to it, but that's by opening the hood of the car and disconnecting them from there...but I like this...

Thanks a lot :) This would save 2 to 3 hours of removing dashboard. Some more, you might mess up wiring or things when putting back what you removed. Technician would charge much for this. I should try your trick as my aircon is down almost a year and every one keep on charging but not fixed and got fade up. After I spent a lot of money I know it is the evaporator issue. I will buy one, cut that part and asked the technician to do the rest. It should be less charge now. Thanks again for helping me.

That’s not something I usually would support in doing but I’m all for it ! Wow that’s so much easier than pulling the dash and removing the heater matrix as I just underwent changing my heater core that was leaking coolant and smelling. I’ll do it your way if I happen to have an ac issue lol 😂 this was also for my e36m3. Why are people expecting this trick to work on Camry’s and other cars haha

Last year I removed the dash to fix the heater. I made the mistake of not change the ac too! so now I’m back about to take your short cut and cut the side plastic 😂

Good work brother but in some vehicles there's no plastic cover given only way you have to remove the entire dash assembly to replace the evaporator
