Now I came to know that IITians are better not because of only their capabilities but also because of a teacher like Sir G. Srinivasan... !!! Thank you so much Sir..

I didn't attend as I had been undergoing a training in the same time.Though it was not compulsory I did it as once the degree is over its easier to find a good job with bit more working experience. So don't judge people with limited facts +sssaaahhiill. That"s the point +Mauricio Rulz
going to university builds a different class of routine. you are fresh, you take bath and leave in the morning, there is peer learning and jokes in class, a disciplined routine and college life to cherish which you miss out on youtube .
"GuruDevo" - Guru is God. I understood the "purpose" and "meaning" behind what I was asked to do, Thanks to Srinivasan sir for this wonderful lecture. Equal thanks to the uploader - nptelhrd - is serving a devine purpose.
Was wondering how to clear Operational research exam and one day bumped into this lecture series by Prof.G.Srinivasan....hats off to you sir you made this subject sound interesting and I have cleared it...your teaching methodology and your approach towards the subject is par excellence.
I wish I had discovered these before I did. As an A-Level student, this is the only thing that has actually helped me revise for my Decision 2 exam. My teacher is just awful, and he's head of maths at a grammar school. Thankyou.
Thanks for sharing the Transportation lecture on the public domain. Understood all the methods and calculations. This is the reason why IITs are famous. Teacher make them so...
Sir, Your lectures were really fabulous ..........your voice modulation / pace of your communication / the way u have taken through the lesson was all fine.I am sure I will have the oportunity to see more lessons in OR in the coming days.. Thank you very much Sir
A pleasant lecturing, went thorough and with clear picture in mind, but only at certain period the cameraman doesn't move with sir, this delay if not would be made then it will be much more better for understanding. No doubt an awesome presentation. Thank you sir.
thank you so much sir ...i got 48 makrs out of 50 only becoz of this video... it really helped me .................may god bless you with good health and wealth :)
Sir!!!U R JUST AMAZING....HAD I GOT OPPURTUNITY TO MEET U....I WUD HAVE DEFINITELY TOUCHED UR FEET AND SOUGHT UR BLESSINGS....WHAT A WONDERFUL TEACHER U R..N A GREAT WAY OF EXPLANING THINGS IN SUCH A "SIMPLE" MANNER....AMAZING!!!!!!THANK U SIR!!!!!!!
dear sir, i have a small daughter n with her prep for mba operation research was impossible for me ...................coz of u i think i got win on dat paper so thaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnx a lot
What an awesome lecture. Thanks a lot for passing on your knowledge. What you know and what you teach are important, but how you teach is more important
respected sir i am highly obliged to you for your great work on the various topics of operational reseearch but now i would like to that whether there is any lecture delivered on the various topics of statistics for management like probablity distribution, hypothesis testing, sampling etc. sofi younis
Sir, your lectures are a boon to us especially to students like me who cannot afford coaching classes. From the bottom of my heart Thank you to and your team.
i am doing cwa inter sir, i am studied in B.com 1st year but really forget sir this video is really help ful for me... But i am sure i will passed in operation management.. becoz Transportation problem is very important. Thank u very much
@rajeshchristopher You take the difference between the lowest value, 7, and the second lowest value, 8. 8-7=1 In the other column this is the lowest, 6 and the second lowest is also 6. 6-6=0 :)
thank you very very much! this helped a lot I mean A LOT, you actually do problems on the board. my teachers just talks about the problems using PPT == thanks from Taiwan ;D
At the loop points, when you come across +1 symbol, you should add 1, at the same time at -1 loop point, subtract by -1. This should be done simultaneously at both point of +1 and -1, then stop when any successive number-1 become zero. After doing this repeat the concept. you will understand my friend.
Dear Sir, As explained in this lecture we are exhausting either one of the source or one of the destination at each allocation. Hence, there will be at most m+n-1 allocations. (There can be less than m+n-1 since a single allocation can exhaust both of them if they have same capacity). I totally agree with this. But, at 49:58, you said that these three methods also won't generate a loop. How??? Allocations can obviously form loop even if number of allocations is less than m+n-1. Please explain.
sir the vam method was incorrect :( in case of tie in penalty, lowest cost empty cell is selected in that row oor column,if there is a tie again, that empty cell is selected where highest qty. can be allotted. If that is a tie also, apply rule of thumb.
That can be done to ensure min cost but surprisingly for this problem that is giving a cost more than what sir got through thumb rule just after a tie! Whatever, this is not an optimal solution.
Now I came to know that IITians are better not because of only their capabilities but also because of a teacher like Sir G. Srinivasan... !!!
Thank you so much Sir..
You just did a big favor to the students around the world. Thanks for the video :)

I am watching this even though I have finished my post grad 2years back. He is just too awesome. His lectures make me nostalgic.
Not attended a single lecture in uni.But ready for the exam like a boss, thanks to this videos.......
to get the degree, he has to sign up for the class either way. the goal is to learn and pass the exams, where he gets the material isn't important.
I didn't attend as I had been undergoing a training in the same time.Though it was not compulsory I did it as once the degree is over its easier to find a good job with bit more working experience. So don't judge people with limited facts +sssaaahhiill. That"s the point +Mauricio Rulz

What an awesome lecture. Thanks a lot for passing on your knowledge. What you know and what you teach are important, but how you teach is more important
Please at 48minute in the video, when you finished breaking the loop shouldn't the R3C1 be empty and R3C4 be 20 rather??
yeah i do have the same doubt...it should be R3C1 = 0 and R3C4 = 20
@CreativeGunner that was a human error, it's rude of you say he did wrong, moreover the final table was a presentation and not he himself solved
respected sir i am highly obliged to you for your great work on the various topics of operational reseearch but now i would like to that whether there is any lecture delivered on the various topics of statistics for management like probablity distribution, hypothesis testing, sampling etc.

sir the vam method was incorrect :(
