Also love the change up of your place of having your videos. Makes it fun and fresh! The sound wasn’t bad at all. You all have a great few weeks. Sure look forward to seeing what you have been working on and what you have completed each time.

I had the same problem with that sock pattern. I ended up just making own pattern. Lovely quilts

That scarf is beautiful! If the cable flare bugs you, there are ways to compensate the difference between the Stockinette stitch gauge and the cable stitch pattern gauge. I learned that from the channel Knitting with Suzanne Bryan, she has a playlist of videos teaching how to add increases at the beginning of the cables to compensate cable flare, and how to decrease at the end of the cables to keep the stitch count. The playlist is called All about Cable Flare.

Thank you! I do wish I would have increased before I started my cables but at this point I don’t want to rip it out to fix it 😫 if I ever make another one I will definitely try to do something about that! Thanks for the tip!

Not all dk yarn is the same, some seems thicker for some reason. I cast on 40 stitches on size 3 dpns for my dk socks. Perfection👍😊

Good to know!! That’s 8 stitches less that I did so that would be a better fit I’m sure! I’ll have to experiment some more with them! I definitely loved how quick of a project they were

toss your brown w.i.p. in the dryer on air only, some call it no heat, to get rid of some of the dust and pet hairs

For your Zalktis pullover, you could make it straight with a split hem...that way it hang straight and be more flattering. It's really pretty, I hope you can come up with a solution.

That is a good idea! I will figure something out eventually but I think I just need a break from it for awhile to process what I have to do 🤣🤣

The Blue Face L is a type wool sheep. Very nice wool yarn!

I use size2US needles for DK socks too. I don’t like the loose gauge either.

the reason that your red socks came out so big on #3s with 48 sts cast on is that novita veljesta is actually worsted, not dk yarn. i use #5 or #6 and cast on 40 sts with worsted weight socks, but i'm not too excited about them, because i really only like yarn that’s dk or thinner. but i do love novita nalle, which is their actual dk, for all of my dk socks, and i make a LOT. i cast on 48 sts with novita nalle dk and use a #2 for tight socks or a #3 for regular tightness. i agree that novita’s stripes often leave something to be desired, but the plain yarn itself is great. give novita nalle a try - the plain colors (especially charcoal, light grey, black, brown, off-white) are good, the yarn makes sturdy socks, and it’s very inexpensive.
