I thought I was one of the only ones who read these books later on. I started last year and now I'm on Clockwork Princess--so excited to finally get to Lady Midnight after! I did end up feeling the same way you did about City of Bones
I am so in love with Jace. I saw the movie when i was 6 years old, i saw the serie when i was 12, and now im 13 years old and i already order the book from internet. I always loved mystic things, and im sooooo excited.
@@BiblioThoughts In my opinion, u have to watch the movie first. I watched the tv show and i love it, but then when i started reading the books, i realized that the tv show isn't loyal to them. But the movie is perfect, and the only Jace in my heart is Jamie (the actor that plays Jace in the movie), he gives Jace a dark side that u cant imagine how perfect it is. *sorry if this text has grammatical mistakes, im portuguese so... ❤️
Biblio Thoughts I really strongly recommend watching the show !! it’s what made me fall in love with the Shadowhunter world, & it compelled me to read the books. it’s a really wonderful show with perfect casting. :)
I am just getting into Shadowhunters as well, same as you, I just want to get to the later series... gotta say, I didn't love City of Bones. But good to know I'm not alone!
@@BiblioThoughts I totally agree! I can see how it was so popular before, or when you were younger. I'm going to keep going with the series...Infernal Devices has been talked up to me a lot so I have to give it a chance!
I just re-read it, and I kind of liked them (the characters) more than the first time I read the series. I don't know if it's because I know the characters better since I read it all before, so I just kinda understand them, I'm like "Yeah they're just a bunch of kids, it's understandable", but I didn't find them as irritating as the first time read it.
The best series is The infernal devices in my opinion as for characters, characters' relations and development, BUT The mortal instruments series has the best villain for sure, there's no discussion, I think it's kind like a consensus between people that read it. The battles are cooler too in TMI, I think it's probably because the overall problem or threat they had to face was a lot bigger than the other series.

Oh that's so good to hear that your excited for the later books! Can't wait to get to them!
As someone who read this when I was young, I’m very excited to watch you read this series!
Yay I'm so glad!

You know I haven't watched any of the films or series! I always wanted to read the book first so I guess I should get to watching them!

Aw no that's a shame! Do you think you'll carry on with the series? I think it's hard for books like this to withstand time tbf 🤔

@@stephaniesbookverse1098 I feel the exact same way! Here's to powering through to get to the good stuff!

When I am you I gotto continue about the series or just the first three books. But its definitely your choice!
Bookish Nerd sounds good! I definitely want to give this series a good chance 😀

Where did you get the books at what website did you get the whole series at
I got them from a shop in the UK called The Works and it was the whole series!
@@BiblioThoughts thanks lots
Yeah, I think City of Bones is the weakest one in the whole of the Shadowhunter chronicles tbh
