    *DISCLAIMER*
    I am not forcing you or telling you to use these builds or to play Talus in any specific way. This video is a personal long on-going project of mine where I showcase MY way of playing Talus and what I have discovered throughout the years, and you can use this information as you please.

    I mean, nice video and nice effort, you can clearly see how much thought you gave it...
    Unfortunately, this is only useful in casuals and low elo. The reason Talus usually puts the rune on their own backline it's because in high elo the enemy team will always be wary of you, and camping a rune if it is advanced is super easy, so you're leaving your team in a 4v4 at the best case scenario, but usually at a 4v5.
    Now, Lethality is pretty much useless and it's just a gimmicky item, you shouldn't get it before Haven in any situation and not having the DR card in your main loadout seems crazy to me, it's the most important card, you won't survive against bursty Champions at all without it...
    Still, good video, the mobility tricks were very cool and you definitely know your Talus!
    Edit: I just saw you map tierlist, no way Jaguar and Bazaar are a 50/50 map, Jaguar specially is one of his best maps alongside Brightmarsh. Not a single high ground and lots of walls to hide your rune, that's why people always ban Talus on this map after the crossplay update (well, Talus is being banned all the time actually, but on those maps specially).
    Splitstone Quarry is a decent map for him but people usually prefer a high mobility flank over Talus, since in an Evie v Talus ranked game for example, the Evie team will have so much more control just on the fact that Evie can get on every single highground in a matter of seconds, while Talus has to use the punch just to jump once, definitely not ideal.

    • @ImWES__
      @ImWES__  ปีที่แล้ว

      i understand what u're getting at. this is just me sharing my weird talus playstyle that hasn't really been discovered by anyone so in my case with my personal experience, everything here is facts.

    Hi, perfect guide but could you explain why lifesteal is not suitable for normal games? (i don't play with it neither)

    • @ImWES__
      @ImWES__  ปีที่แล้ว

      hiii im glad u liked it :) so lifesteal in general (not just talus) has been in a rough spot because of caut, making it worse and worse over the course of the game. and the problem with that kinda healing is that u cant get it from out of combat, its something u actively recieve during a duel. so having like 2 cards in ur deck at 3-5 is wasting a lot of points + an item slot that is liferip, it gets less and less value. now if we compare this to something like revitalize, that heals u for an extra x amount and it will always be ignored by caut since tp cleanses
      everything. and then if we look at dark vision, that isnt a heal card obv, but a card like that will get the same amount of value aswell throughout the entire game. basically, the value of lifesteal feints slowly while many other stats doesn't. i hope that made sense? :D

    is there not diminishing returns for the movement speed cards you use in your build as it’s over 30%

    • @ImWES__
      @ImWES__  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      technically yeah, but evanescent at lvl 3 + nimble 3 gives u about 40% with diminishing returns (meaning u lose about 5%) so i would say that that's worth it. then the 20% movespeed buff from carry through would take a hit from diminishing returns, but since u dont always hit the punch while u have tp up it doesnt always get affected + if u do the punch tp combo that i show at 13:14 the effect lasts after u tp so u lose the ms buff from evanescent, but gain the buff from carry through. then on top of all that we have lethality where the ms gets struck reeeeeaaally hard by diminishing returns but that's okay since we mostly go for it because of the movement speed. that was a really good question tho so i hoped i could explain it well :)

    • @ethanspain
      @ethanspain ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ImWES__ 100% get it and assume you mean jump boost at the end lol. but thanks very helpful. i wish they showed diminishing returns in game it would make life so much easier but would definitely confuse new players lol

  • @T.K.F.
    @T.K.F. ปีที่แล้ว

    Sorry, lifereap is not overrated it is utterly useless and I wish more ppl would know that.
    To those who don't lifereap is affected by caut. Let's say you do 1k damage and LP lvl3 heals you 30% of the damage done which is 300 then when caut is at 90%. You don't heal 300, you only heal for 30
    So anyone who still has self healing or lifesteal in their loadout. Please remove it or lower it for something better

    • @Marrrrley
      @Marrrrley ปีที่แล้ว

      Liferip*
      And in a Talus deck it is decent if you combine it with the Damage Reduction card, it gives you more sustainability, needed when you have to be so aggro when your rune is up.
