Great video! Really cool camera angles 👍🏼 I’m here for the aviation, farming, and whatever else comes my way. I enjoy learning about agriculture in the Midwest because it is so different from what we have here in the west. I’ve heard about cover crops for years and thought I had it pretty well figured out but your video helped confirm it. I thought that was probably a Citabria in the hangar with the Bonanza. When I saw them I was hoping that we would get to see them soon. I’ve never been in a Citabria and didn’t realize that you had one so that will be fun. Thanks again for the great video 👍🏼🇺🇸
@@FailureatRetirement Glad that you liked the video! We will try and get some Citabria videos for you but it may be a while. Just took it to the shop yesterday for annual inspection and some improvements on it.
Awwww...Gotta get a shot of the grandbaby (?) in there!! Hot-loading all day. Out to the field to spread a load and back again. Over and over from sun-up to sundown. A lot of hard work mixing the seed by hand! Poor ag-pilot had to do it all himself. Wish I could have been there. I would have helped with that for sure. The poor OL' ag-pilot ain't a spring chicken anymore and I bet this tells on him!!! Maw-maw is spoilin' the grandbaby for sure!!! 😁😁😁😁❤❤ Got a split-tail bonanza? Cool! At 56, I can write a book about all the different "hitches in the old get-along"!!! I'm so sick of all these little snot-nosed complainers! All they do is try to make your life miserable. If they're from the city, they need to keep their happy butts in the city!!! It costs a lot of money per flight hour to keep an ag-plane in the air. I was told it takes about $2000/hour PLUS THE PILOT'S CUT to profitably keep an 802 in the Air. What's the cost for a Thrush? AS FOR ME, I'M A CROP DUSTER PLANE NUT AND I HAVE TOP RESPECT FOR THE SKILLED PILOTS LIKE YOURSELF WHO DRIVE THESE BIRDS. MUCH ADMIRATION FOR GIVING GOD THE GLORY AND QUOTING SCRIPTURE. AMERICA NEEDS MORE OF THAT EVERY DAY.
Just curious as to what make helmet you use? My dad wore a calmel helmet i think is what it was. My older brother has his last helmet, wish it could talk.... Lots of black marks on it from bouncing around in the agtruck cockpit for untold years....,..and a few in a b model cat ......
I really want to implement this at the operation I work at. Usually how many lbs/acre are you doing? How far are you ferrying? How many acres can you do in a day? Do you charge more per acre than spraying?
@@willjohnson3907 cereal rye is usually around a bushel per acre. Some of that depends on the government program that they are using. When seeding, we try and get to an airport as close to the field as we can. We try not to ferry over 15 miles maximum. We charge more per acre for seeding since we are doing more trips to cover the same amount of acres.
Your variety in content and different camera angles are top notch. 👌 🎉 thanks for all the videos!!!
