Don't get me wrong, I really like Gretchen, but for someone who has lived their entire 65 years on this planet in the deep south, it gets under my skin to listen to someone from Illinois talk with a deep southern accent. Same goes with Shania Twain, she is not even from the US, she is from Canada. Those of us who have spoken "Southernese" can spot a phony southern accent from a country mile away.
