One of the big standout side plots for me in this one was the way that Sanderson wrote Teft's addiction arc. To have that on top of Dalinar's story with the bevvy was so well done. I have experience with both of those things and with recovery-thank GOD!-and it was written so well.
As for the weakest of the series, for me that would be Rhythm of War. Oathbringer was a slower read for me than Way of Kings and Words of Radiance, but as you say, it still slapped. I stopped dead with Rhythm of War for quite a long time. Shadesmar bored me, and I wasn't enjoying Shallan's DID much either.

Omg yes ! Teft and his addiction was done so so well! Sanderson continues to slap with these issues as always
On the first read of ROW k did stop but they was more bc of how much I was crying 😂 at work too where people were like you okay? Haha
But I do get it. Shadsmar is interesting but it can get burning pretty quickly to. And when you take the trial they was going on it does drag it down a tad

I think oathbringer is prob the best tbh..now it might not be as "entertaining" as the first two but it delves much deeper into the lore and story about gods/unmade and the listeners and such...which to some would be "boring" but i loved it..plus my fav character is dalinar for sure so i loved all this backstory...most love kaladin but his "poor me" mentality gets annoying.

Oh for sure ! Like in the first read I loved OB but knowing what I know now I’m like eh? It was still a good read but compared to the others it’s not as good. But the lore and the delving into the world is needed and I do enjoy that.
