I was very lucky to be invited for the same on 19th and am currently collecting all my documents. For the status documents in Canada, the website of Ontario states, “ If applicable, you must scan and upload copies of current and previous status documents given to you by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). Documents may include: work permits study permits temporary resident visas any other Canadian immigration document”. While I do have my study permit to scan and upload, my PGWP was rejected. Do I still need to upload the document for the later?
Does this affect international students in Canada on PGWP looking for PR the same way? Is their any benefit to having Canadian education and 1 year of work experience?
I am at 487 and losing 5 points on January 15. This process is so frustrating. IRCC had enough time to test the TEER system but they don’t care because to them we are just a number.

I think the profiles should be short listed based on education and experience of on demand NOC or TEER Skills and then little weightage to be given for other factors like age, relative in canada since the main intention of immigration seems to have skilled labour for vacancies. For eg - Health care and Software.

It’s unfair for all the applicants who has less score than 490 because they stopped the draw ,they must continue from the last score . Because every day too many applicants are adding and try to achieving more than 500 score .
i started my journey in 2020 with an ok score of 478. Now i am sitting at 468 and will lose further 5 points in coming April. What seems very probable 2 years back now is an impossible task for me. And Canada is even delaying things like crazy. Those who are sitting at 460, forget you even have a chance..unless u get picked up LUCKILY by PNP, or get a job offer( which might not even happen for some of you AT ALL depending on your job profile and its demand in Canada). Apparently, working hard to get a Good IELTS score means nothing now, its all luck... or start learning French..which again delays your process by 1.5 years at least...Canada is now a youngster's playground for people below 30 years
You should try international student route if you can afford it. If Express Entry and job offer/PNP isn't looking probably, the student route is the best option. But of course it's very expensive, look at it as an investment

But the Position i am now in life, its either i use up all my savings for student route or use it to build up a family. After certain age, its really difficult to step back..owing to the commitments you have in your lie.

Hi Sir, I am applying for my wife's SOWP (she is india (student ) and I am on work permit in Canada). I have two questions. 1. She had a bank account on her name with her father. This account is mainly managed by her father because it's as old as she was a minor. The problem with that account is that there had been almost zero transactions in the last 6 months. Can we use this money as a gift deed by her father? Or can she just get a balance certificate but it might be problematic if IRCC asked for bank statements later? 2. I am having a NOC A job with good salary and can show upto 15k CAD in my Canadian bank account. Would that be fine if my spouse show 4000-5000 CAD in our joint account in India? Please advice! This is what I've been telling my partner. they're essentially only drawing people who have Canadian education points. He has a PhD, I have a Master, we both work in tech, and have max IELTS score. Guess Canada isn't happening for us 🤷🏻♀️

I'm from the US and my partner is from Spain. We both have solid experience and education, but if Canada doesn't want that , we'll go somewhere else I guess.

The majority of people in the pool above 500 are francophones.. The majority of francophones in Africa also speak English over and above french. Its easier for them to pass IELTS

Hi, My CRS score is 489. I was invited for PNP by Ontario. My PGWP expires in First week of Feburary. Can I extend my work permit based on the invitation received from OINP? I am working as a Software Engineer. Also, if I apply for OINP how long will it take to add points to my profile? @Sahil Desai yes, once you submit your documents and get receipt you can use that for extending work permit but I am not a consultant please confirm it with someone to not risk it.

I entered pool with 478 points on Oct 15th 2021. Oct 15th 2022 my profile expired and I had to re enter the pool on 16th. My points are 491 with added experience. But I did not get an invite because of tie breaker on the Nov 23rd draw and then they stopped to pick new draws. My PGWP is already expired and applied manually under the pgwp public policy. I'm stuck waiting either for wp/ita

For your information, there were no CEC draws in 2019. The advent of CEC draws was a reaction to COVID-19. And since we've gone past that now, forget about CEC draws. Look forward to the all-programme draws which also include all CEC candidates.

@@AskKubeir sir it. Is a general assumption that there is no pathway but In Reality. H1b is the most sought after and standard path way for PR. It takes time but doesn't have uncertainty like Canadian Pr. A person coming over to US on h1b has one and only pathway which is to get i140 and wait in the line. However on canada. Can you say a person coming to Canada on a work permit has a path way defined ? It is all ifs and buts. This ambiguity is not in the US(though it has its own shortcomings) Canadian PR still the best option for Indians but my comment here Is only about the pathway.
@@devlupmedia For Indians waiting period for a green card is currently longer than an average persons lifetime lol. So for Indians essentially there isn’t any pathway for immigration to US (unless you consider marrying a green card holder/ US citizen a pathway). Yes one can live for many years on H1B for sure, but that’s like a dagger hanging above your head. And even H1B is given based on a lottery draw except for few healthcare professions. I understand that Canadian immigration has become way more difficult than it used to be and it is frustrating. But US better than Canada in terms of immigration? Lol definitely not true. Immigration is a privilege, not a right. One must remember that.

You can apply to extend your work permit based on your ITA.

Maybe due to age.
Your NOC might have become ineligible under TEER. Check the 2nd figure in your NOC code, if it is not 0,1,2, or 3, it is not eligible.

@@AskKubeir sir it. Is a general assumption that there is no pathway but In Reality. H1b is the most sought after and standard path way for PR. It takes time but doesn't have uncertainty like Canadian Pr.
A person coming over to US on h1b has one and only pathway which is to get i140 and wait in the line.
However on canada. Can you say a person coming to Canada on a work permit has a path way defined ? It is all ifs and buts. This ambiguity is not in the US(though it has its own shortcomings)
Canadian PR still the best option for Indians but my comment here Is only about the pathway.
@@devlupmedia For Indians waiting period for a green card is currently longer than an average persons lifetime lol. So for Indians essentially there isn’t any pathway for immigration to US (unless you consider marrying a green card holder/ US citizen a pathway). Yes one can live for many years on H1B for sure, but that’s like a dagger hanging above your head. And even H1B is given based on a lottery draw except for few healthcare professions. I understand that Canadian immigration has become way more difficult than it used to be and it is frustrating. But US better than Canada in terms of immigration? Lol definitely not true. Immigration is a privilege, not a right. One must remember that.

During that long wait in h1b you can be say for sure you can get the green card at the end (however long it may be) can you say the same for Canada WP ?
