I'm glad Mitsubishi gave the Curb Weight of the Xpander 1.5 GLX A/T! Saludo ako sa kanila! The horsepower per ton of this vehicle is 82.52! Good score na ito for a vehicle designed for economy. Kung gusto ninyong lumakas ang hatak pa, mag palit kayo ng size ng gulong like 15 inches. Hindi mahihirapan at tatagal ang buhay ng engine! Original size niya ay 17 inches.

Hi. Possible workaround with the mentioned issues:
*Apply wd40 to door joints
*Try to check ETACS for software modifications (enabling speed-sensing locks, tweaks, etc)
*might be a mfg defect for the gear shift. Either try to check the shift mounting or apply decals. Might affect backlight when using decals
*Aftermarket eyeglass holder mount
*MPVs are focused on fuel efficiency. It does lack power specially when climbing up or heavy load. What we can do is proper maintenance and optimizing the car (proper tire pressure, use at least 95 octane, etc)
*For cruise control, ETACS may help but the owners manual only allows continious deceleration through pressing the brake or disabling the cruise control

ok n ko s xpander even in terms of power. with 7 occupants from laguna to daet, Camarines Norte, it performed good. mine is only the glx, the manual variant. no probz. s arangkada at hill climbing. it can't be compared to Montero or forttuner coz such cars belong to a big size segment.

I have another observation that I think is wrong! I'm not sure! Feel ko mali yung 17-inch tires for an old 4-speed A/T. It's too big! If I'm not mistaken, mga gulong ng old transmission na ito ay 14 or 15 inch lang noon.
Old model 195x65x15 at 205x55x16 for top of the line.

Actually, hindi advisable ang pagpindot ng matagal ng cruise control para pabagalin ng malayo sa sa speed na pagkakaset nito. Kung gusto natin pabagalin ang takbo, gamitin ang preno gradually hanggang makamit ang gustong takbo at saka with the aid na rin ng accelerator, kapag nakuha natin ang desired speed, saka uli i-set ito. For example, from 100 to 80, preno na muna para ma-off ang cruise control saka attain the desired speed then set to cruise again.

bro. You can use the cancel to decelerate. then once desired speed is achieved, use set again. Ung akin driver side door lang talaga mahirap isara. the rest, smooth naman. 2019 GLS Sport
Pwede naman sir i-cancel, pero maganda pa rin kung me decelerate function especially kung gusto mo lang bumagal ng kaunti.

Sir yung Mitsubishi etacs reprogram sir alam ko na activate yung different operations ng lock pede din ata yung auto lock kapag 20khp tulad ng montero
Meron na akong kausap before para sa gen2, kaso di pwede sa kaniya. Di ko lang sure kung pwede sa xpander.

agree ako sa doors, mahirap siya isara lalo pag sarado lahat ng doors at windows, other mentioned naman is okay lang sa price catergory niya, for the underpower yes ramdam mo siya lalo pag need mo ng power, kaya very fuel efficient, can use the overdrive mode when need power lalo na sa overtaking.

Sir yun sa di pagtapat ng lever sa letter, di mu nmn need tingnan iyon kc di ba dapat hawak mu pa lng at paggalaw mu sa direksyon na gusto mo dapat kabisado mu yan khit d ka nakatingin.
Oo naman. Pero nakaka asiwa pa rin kung ganyan ang lever. Minsan kelangan mo mag reverse, titingin ka talaga jan kaya minsan kakainis.

Para sa glx sir, halogen ang headlight, fabric seats, same color ang door handles, naka conventional stick hand brake and wala po atang cruise control (not sure on this). GLS ay may fabric seats, chrome door handles, led headlights, auto hold and electronic parking brake, cruise control etc.

I was able to drive to Baguio using the manual transmission of previous model xpander (probably 2019) and i don’t remember any lag or inadequate power on climbs… however, i haven’t driven any automatic transmission yet… it must have different feel driving on climbs of baguio.

Sir ilan km/liter po city driving nyo na inaabot madalas? Nabangit nyo din umaabot 4500 pag ang takbo ay 100,. Sobra lakas ah! So hindi rin mganda ibiyahe sa highway.
Maganda sia sir sa highway. Siguro nanibago lang ako nung una kasi naka pindot ako sa cruise control non kaya umabot ng 4500 rpm.

Regarding sa deceleration issue mo bro. Kaya may cancel button dyan para madecelerate. Hndi meant to decelerate fast kpg nag press ka ng button - just my 2 cents. Ty for review

Pag bumagal Yung sa harapan, babagal din sya kusa if bumilis sa harapan bibilis din sya Ng kusa up to max speed na sinet nyo.
the rear blower control is the same with all MPVs of the same type as the Xpander. Kahit Ertiga, Avanza, Veloz, Rush at iba pa.
Blower lang talaga yan as in nagbubuga lang ng hangin.
The Montero AC is a pure AC talaga as in lahat ng vents connected sa evaporator.
Expected na yung blower type na yan sa mga MPV kahit yung bagong Strada blower lang.
Tsaka hindi adaptive yung cruise control niya.
Yung cruise control niya is actually the sa cruise control ng Mirage/Mirage G4 since Xpanded na Mirage lang yung Xpander at makita mo yan since maraming parts sa kanila na pareho o interchangeable.

ung door locks issue pagawa mo ETACS sa merong may obd scanner. may settings lang yan na kailngan i enable. ung issue sa 100kph tapos 4500 rpm ka na just means kulang ka tlg sa gear. 4 speed at is what's limiting this unit tlg. specially pagdating sa fuel economy. that is why sa indonesia CVT na ito. personally i would not recommend CVT dapat ginawang 6pd at na lang ito ng mitsu
Di po adaptive cruise control yang sa xpander.yung adaptive nagbabase sya sa radar technology sya na nagmonitor Ng car sa harapan saka distance mo automatically depende sa sinet mong speed.kung gusto nyo controlin manually Yung speed dapat may paddle shifter kayo.or naka adaptive cruise control Yung car.

Napansin ko din dyan sir pag sa highway ka, maririnig mo yung hangin on both sides ng front doors malapit sa side mirror. Masyado din malambot ang suspension and yung makina nya ang lalim ng location from the hood.
Ung hangin sir dahil sa pagiging aerodynamic nung front facia kaya maririnig mo ung hangin. Ung suspension para sa akin malambot nga pero okay lang sa akin hehe. Yung makina, totoo hehe, sobrang lalim nga, mahirap mag DIY nsa ilalim pa ung oil filter hahaha

Things I hate:
1. yung tunog pag key not detected, sana medyo maiksi lang. medyo annoying kasi lalo para sakin na maraming seremonyas bago umalis tapos lagi lang nasa bag or bulsa ang keyfob.
2. the piano black accents, dali magasgas.
3. stock battery, hindi nag improve from previous gen.
My comments naman po sa hate list nyo:
1. same observation, but inisip ko baka dahil bago pa at matitigas ba ang mga door seals. malay natin katagalan gumaan na :D door locks naman could be solved siguro pag may available nang etacs. just like the previous gen.
2. gear selector naman imho, just takes getting used to and mas maganda na sa cluster gauge ka talaga titingin kesa sa yuyuko ka pa to look at the gear selector.
tip for new users: meron sa owners manual shift pattern at kung kelan pwedeng hindi pindutin ang shift button. once na master mo yun, kahit nakapikit ka you can easily know kung asang gear ka from park, neutral etc.
3. agree on sunglass holder, at cellphone compartment na din hahaha. medyo malaki phone ko kaya napilitan bumili ng phone mount kahit di na sana need.
4. agree on the engine power din but it should be already known by the buyers. incomparable talaga sya with SUVs and pick ups even with cars with same displacement. remember, this is an MPV.
5. for the cruise control, di ko pa natry i hold down. i usually just press multiple times. try ko sa sunod na byahe.
my conclusion is sulit padin, huge discounts, freebies, 2 year free pms, di ako nag sisi na pinili ko ang xpander compared sa first option ko na rush, xl7. btw sir, you got yourself a new subscriber! more videos of your xpander please! thank you!

Nice review! I agree to your comments, especially on the underpowered issue. We own a 2021 GLS AT, and coming from a diesel Innova syempre ramdam ko agad yung difference sa torque. Our decision in getting the unit was for comfortable ride, space and reliabity with regards to service and parts. I only wish it had more to offer, since some of its competitors (Geely, Ford, Kia, etc.) provide a more powerful 1.5 engine plus tech for roughly the same price.

Ford doesn't have MPV, Geely has higher price point same with Innova...competitors of XP as MPV are Rush, BRV, xl7, and Ertiga and ALL has 1.5 engine LOL

For your information po, the manufacturers you have mentioned do not have products that are direct competitors of the Xpander. Geely has 2 7 seater mpvs, but neither of them are within the price range of the Xpander, in fact they are priced more than the Xpander. Ford, doesn't produce any 7 seater mpvs. Kia, has Carnival, but it is also priced higher than the Xpander. If you're talking about the direct competitors of the Xpander, you should've mentioned; Toyota (Avanza/Veloz/Rush), Honda (BRV/Mobilio), Suzuki (Ertiga), Hyundai (upcoming Stargazer), Maxus (G50), and Nissan (Livina). But I guess you didn't, because you knew they all have 1.5 liter engine😉

nice car review but for door issue not agree the design is less ambient noise outside for the shift lever yah Thats true not positioned properly but you got a second visional indicator and for the auto lock sensor its a optional accessory because you got a budget car more electronics more Price for the ECS its design is dual control its not integrated system and for the Transmission L is for downhill assist for engine control to avoid brake pads burn 2 indicator is for climbing stiff hills like Baguio depends on gear ratio 103 HP good enough for 1.5 engine for eco gas auto cruise matter is one click per increment as per dial indicator line its design on roads with speed limits

First choice ko tong new xpander, second XL7. Pero na punta sa rush grs. Yep maluwag yung dalawang choice ko, matagtag rush, pero na consider ko nalang na rear wheel drive, pwede pang offroad, mataas at 6 airbags. Lahat naman ng car may kanya kanyang pros and cons e, walang perfect haha. Sa future buyer, kung sanay kayo sa malakas ang hatak like innova monty fortuner, wag kayo mag mpv hahaha.

Di ako eksperto pero parang wala naman akong nakitang sinisilip yung kambyo pag mag change ng gear. Di ko din ginagawa na pag mag change ako ng gear habang nasa daan sisilipin ko yung stick kung saan naka tutok tapos saka ko ililipat kaya di ko siguro napansin yung issue na yun.
Kung manual sir kadalasan kabisado natin ang pag shift. Pero kung automatic lalo na kapag starting from P or mag reverse ka, di mo maiiwasan na tumingin sa kambyo. Ako napansin ko kaya sinama ko sa video na ito. 40 plus na ako, 16 years old pa lang ako nagdrdrive na ako. Kaya ewan ko lang bakit di kayu napapatingin sa kambyo hehe. Mga expert siguro ung iba jan sir.

@@NoahsGarage ..cheapest ata ertiga..kasi im still choosing..eh ertiga, xpander and avanza options..and im looking at a 10yr stay sa akin if ever...id want the avanza kasi its new and fits the bill except for the 1.3 engine.. uubra yun kung qc pa ko nauwi..i have the gen 2 avanza 1.3...ngayon antipolo na ko nauwi..im considering a 1.5..di kasi papasok budget, also sa maintenance, kung innova or the 1.9 mux pipiliin...

Pa ETACS ka sir para ma enable un speed sensing marami po yan nag eenable sa mga group, pwede naman sir mag lagay ng glasses holder diyan sa driver side my allocated spot na pwede ka mag lagay sa handle bar sa taas marami sa online, pwede ka rin sir tumingin sa instrument panel kung anong gears kana instead sa shift knob ka pa mag babase, meron po tlga delay yan cruise control pag mag dedecelerate ka using cruise control pwde rin naman apakan ang break gradually kung slow down lang naman ang gusto niyo then re engage nalang ulit ang cruise. This is not a rant just some advice and tip lang naman.

Power is an issue specially since it's supposed to carry a large amount of passengers, being a 7-seater. I used to own a 1st generation 7-seater Nissan Grand Livina which was a 4-speed automatic as well but with a 1.8L engine displacement. More than enough power to carry 7 pax! Personally, I wouldn't buy an underpowered MPV like this.

I have 2018 xpander, and man, I love the performance, it is enough. If you like to race with 7 people inside your car, then xpander is not for you. but if you want just to have a car for long drives, can overtake then xpander is more than enough. I have driven hilux 2.4 , pajero 2.8, ford everest, and all I can say is xpander is not underpowered, it is just enough right balance overall.

This is the way to review certain vehicle model...pros and cons are always expected..hindi parang ahente lahat na lang ng good sasabihin para makabenta..look my 2018 Vios has many disadvantage...flooded lang sa market ang parts kaya nagustuhan ko...DIY mechanic kasi ako...reliability ang importante sa akin...talagang malayo siya sa Adventure in terms of tourque ramdam mo talaga..kung power ang gusto mo these is not for you..gusto ko lang ng good looks kaya expander pinalit ko..
Same issue sa pinto po. Mirage HB 2022 naman yung akin.
