This comment took it from completely serious, to drop dead hilarious!🤣😭
Those bandits must’ve all added up?! First 38 lives to spare one, and then an entire village at the expense of that mercy, and then an entire bandit ring all over again?!
I think it was Saladin just getting The Wolf Crest back. It was like him finishing the new seasonal artifact quest, and getting the base XP before being able to slot his new passive mods.

I've never viewed him as a noble hero, only a coward that can't handle killing, leading to more people dying for no reason

@@Joseph-mw2rlThat's one way to see him. Another view is that he doesn't want to stoop to that level acting as the judge and executioner. And I mean the justice system in Gotham keeps putting the villains in a situation where they have several chances to escape. Especially for the Joker

"All the people I murdered... by letting you live."
      "I never kept count."
      *"I did."*

After the Final Shape, Vex creates a time gate that brings us back to the Dark Ages. Would you play it?
Heck yeah I would. I want to see Drifter eat a Fallen.

This is a fable, designed to show a simple lesson through a story and it deals with one philosophical basis of society itself. Similar to an Adam Smith quote, “Mercy to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent.” I was reminded of this cutscene after watching a video about it. Why is justice dispensed and what is the reason behind punishing criminals?
Obviously this is a pretty different moral situation between the story itself and the psionic warfare tactics being debated in the season story, but still it is a pretty similar concept where mercy can have serious consequences if given to the undeserving.

@@submachinegun5737It is a very bad fable then. Is the lesson learned here that next time he should kill the little girl being forced to steal? That’s absurd. Maybe he shouldn’t have abandoned her and the village after claiming he would protect them.

Lord Saladin is very strong, merciless and violent... 💪🩸
    He is unbeatable warrior !!!
He wanted to save that girl, but she chose her fate herself...
    That was justice...

The terrible question is: if someone asks for mercy, shouldn't that person also be merciful? Seems like it would apply perfectly here..
