@@kstyle1343 Koon was playing tight before the standup game. I'm surprised there is not more Linus love, he silent straddled and deviated from theory a bunch to make the game nicer, such as when he played a family pot instead of raising with queens.

Linus's 45k 3-bet with Q3 might be brilliant. Because of the stand up game players are very incentivised to a) have a calling range b) 4-bet jam. This means Linus 3-bet range should be very polar. Etc. Hands which would be at the bottom of his calling range which don't mind folding to a 4-bet.
Stand up game makes the stream a lot more fun, everyone doesn’t play how they normally play

For all the peeps that said she played well. She’s tight aggro and her night would normally be determined by a few hands. So, it’s broke or win, not many other options unless she is card dead. The stand up game is not suited for that style of play.
i think she had some real good reads and plays. she was very unlucky in the round she needed to pay the stand up game cause she was running in some tough spots. that being said - she lost a ton of money to avoid paying the standup game bounty

There are so many terrible giveaways in this game. I used to think that online rooms are specially dealt so that everyone goes all-in, but this game showed that in real life set to a junior set from the flop is real. Top two pair to top two pair is possible.

He was hoping for one of the short stacks to squeeze so he can snap it off. Stand up game dynamics are relevant to his decision.
I promise you he doesn’t care about being balanced against amateurs. For whatever reason he thought it was the best play in that exact situation, and since he’s the best NLHE cash game player in the world, I will assume he was probably right.
@matta5749 even the best players can make mistakes. He was hoping the blinds will raise, but they are simply not aggressive enough. He might be the best online but definitely not in live games. Live player legends would never make a mistake like that, for example, someone like Ivey
