  • Hello! Let’s practice Chinese Pinyin together. I haven’t found many videos that allow Chinese learners to practice their Pinyin step by step. I hope you find my video helpful!
    Please check my video that explains the Chinese Alphabet fully: • Learn All the Chinese ...
    In my last Chinese Alphabet video, you can hear that I pronounced the finals "o" a bit differently. That’s because I was following the new textbook method for Chinese students.
    In this video, I used the method I was taught when I was a child. It’s much easier to pronounce when you combine with other initials. And it makes more sense!
    If you have any questions, please leave me a comment. Thank you for watching!

    Ah finally, the only initials and finals pronunciation video I need to watch. You explained everything, and in perfect time too, thanks. Your English is also very good (well except for that one word, "combine"), I watched a lot of videos about this and your English is by far the most understood to me. Thanks so much, awesome video.

    I would like to know why some places have a blank space. I'm just a leaner so I have to know that

      Hello. Thanks for the question. The blank spaces mean there is no combination from the initial and the final. The word doesn’t exist. So,take "b" and "o" as examples, there are "bo,po,mo,fo" in Chinese. But there are no words pronounced as "do,to,no,lo…". Not every initial and final can form a syllable.

      The tones are easy for me because I learned to speak Thai. The only difference
      is that Thai has a low tone instead of a flat high tone. Also every vowel sound
      can be long or short.

    i have a question we we write i and put tone on it why we then don't put the dot on letter i ?

    • @ChinesewithCottoncaley
      @ChinesewithCottoncaley  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because we have the tone already on there “i”, so we just delete the dot and put the tone directly!
