I can't help but think of Earthworm Jim 2's final stage, See Jim Run, Run Jim Run when I look at this. A really well done conclusion to a great mod, though
Interesting. I'd only played up to Keen 6 (barring 2 and 4 because didn't have them). Looking at the Mortimer boss fight, I quite like it. Usually, my experience with boss fights in general is a general slug-fest until there's last one standing, but I don't think I've seen a boss fight integrated with a puzzle level to this extent, and I think it fits Keen quite well. If he just unloaded ammo on Mortimer it would have gotten boring very quickly, so I approve of this approach. PS, re the ending, I don't usually 'ship', but I'm partially tempted to ship Keen with Princess Lindsey. Anyone else agree?

Just read what I said again, and in the first point I meant to say "...other than the areas behind the first two barriers." Heh, I was kind of in a rush this morning when I wrote that. :P But ya, when I was trying to record this, a lot of the deaths were in those spots.
Yeah episodes 1 to 5 were published by Apogee while episode 6 was published by FormGen. Episodes 7 to 9 are actually fan made games. You can find links for them on the Commander Keen Forums. The way it works is you add the bat file into the folder with the exe and run the bat through DosBox. I think that is how it works anyway, I haven't touched DosBox in a while because life is busy these days.
Don't forget I've already done Keen 4 on Normal already, but yeah, I'll try doing the others on Normal too. Ya, I've seen Atroxian Realm already and it looks awesome! :D I actually was thinking about that for December. I also wanted to do Holiday Lemmings 1994 too, so we'll see what happens. I have a lot planned, as I have a few gameplays that I want to do, as well as a non-Christmas related walkthrough before I was getting to those.

You can get the bat file for the mod from the Keen wiki or Public Commander Keen Forums. You need a copy of Keen 5 in the same folder as the bat file, then use DosBox (a DOS emulator) to run the bat file. I hope that helps. :)

Anyone who wanted to make another mod for the series could potentially make a story where Mortimer went through a wormhole or something. We only saw him drop off a ledge, we didn't actually see him physically die. Another possibility is Mortimer could have cloned himself or something. The clone might have been fighting Keen in that level, and the real Mortimer was driving the ship.
