The app is available for Apple and Android devices and compatible with the iFly Boeing 737NG or the PMDG 737 NGX. More information on the Virtual Avionics website:

Thanks for the review, I broke down and bought it and its great. One thing I find interesting though, is all of your negatives are not true for me. I'm using the PMDG NGX on an Android tablet so there are some differences . The speed thing I can really see since PMDG does it differently. When changing a route the white highlight shows up on the tablet and when I click the buttons it makes a clicking sound. Just thought I would pass along what I was seeing.

Thanks for that quick summary! I'd like to know more about the virtual radio apps for tablets. You mentioned that you reviewed some in the past but I don't see any links. I have the MS Store MSFS 2020 Premium platform for PC. Is there a similar program for controlling the radio/navigation via an Android Samsung Tablet available?

You're welcome! I'm using RemoteflightCOMM, but that's iOS devices only. I do think there are similar apps for android though, you should be able to find it :)

+Slipstream Thanks for watching! :) Hmm, you might want to try Airdisplay in the Apple Appstore. Or maybe you could use another monitor that also has a touchscreen capability.

How’s the pilots uniform?
Although my cards have a limit, I get a warning as a transaction error and I cannot download the application.(google play)
Very nice review! I am considering possibly getting this app for my Android phone (they have an Android version too) but will probably wait until I get a tablet to use the FMC with a bigger screen. Thanks for doing the review though!
Thanks! :) Yes, I think it will be too small for a phone and you will make a lot of typos. For an iPad it's perfectly fine though!

Can I connect two Ipads simultaneously? One with capt CDU and 2nd with first officer CDU?

Virtual CDU vs Fergo CDU. Any insight
The CDU connects with the system but it does not accept any command. The screen reads, "Connected to VAINTERFACE Version 2,28.1.21648
When i connect, it says auto discovery failure.. why?
is it work without flight sim. i mean can i use this application solely for training.

Hey, Nice review! but i have some problems with getting this to work, i have tried this in fs2004 on the ifly 737NG, but when i select the ifly, i get an error on my phone saying this device cannot be used with this aircraft... if you have any solutions... please reply back.. Thanks

Choppers Channel Thanks! I don't have that product yet and I'm not sure if I'm going to use it personally so then I won't buy it. Their products are really nice though, but they are especially useful for flying General Aviation airplanes, as the radio stack looks like one of a GA airplane.
I use an application for iOS called AirDisplay and it works great for me.

is it compatible with fsx/accelaration? because the bottons work for me but doesnt display the difrint pages of fmc it only display (conected to vainterface version and the disconect option) but it does work with the sim meaning i toch on my tablet a botton and it translate it to the sim but no diplay change. pls help

fs2004: pmdg 737 wont work with virtual avionics , just work with ifly 3.1 and i canot connect ifly plane with fs2004 and with my tablet , spend 21 € for nothing, support never mind.
If you would have read the the green text below the app, it would have told you that its only for the PMDG 737NGX for FSX and not the 737 for FS2004. AviationPro forgot to mention that in his video, but you should have stil read the text ;)

20€?! For what essentially amounts to a trivial (and buggy, as you showed) web interface? Jesus, you guys in MSFS world are being taken for a ride.
Also, IMHO, the utility of this is overstated (and certainly nowhere near worth the 20 euro price tag). I found that ultimately typing on a glass surface isn't really any faster than typing with your mouse. Now fortunately FlightFactor's 757 and 777 on X-Plane support capturing keyboard input into the CDU with a single click - now that's useful *and* comfy (with real tactile feedback and all ;)). I can throw together a flight plan in no time that way. And best of all - it comes with the model, no need to pay extra.
Buggy? I have never mentioned that, it's not buggy at all. Only two minor things that Virtual Avionics could fix or at least could look at. For me it's not about being faster, but about more realistic as you can use your hands as if you were programming a real FMC. You can also use the keyboard to program the FMC in MSFS addons, including the PMDG and the iFly.
AviationPro In my vocabulary a problem that should be fixed counts as a bug. It can of course be minor, sure, in which case most people won't care, but for 20 euros for something so simple, I'd expect it to be perfect.
As for "realism" - knock yourself out, but IMO glass is quite a faux feeling. Even a qwerty keyboard is better for that (even better: modern airbuses ship with full qwerty IRL), but I found the utility of a tablet for CDU simulation to be really limited. Now there are rubberized and/or plastic tactile capacitive overlays which fix that - in that case, I'm all for it. But without it, I found the experience quite hollow and clumsy (I still need to stare down at the tablet to track my finger and still frequently miss the buttons).
Hmm, I don't really have that problem. The iPad Air is relatively big, so the buttons are large enough for me. I think I make more mistakes when using the mouse compared to when using this app, and you will have to look down anyway in order to see what you're typing and where you put it. I'm sure when you use an iPad Mini it will be more difficult. Of course, you cannot actually feel the buttons, but you do get the realistic FMC interface. If you want to go even further you could buy an actual FMC, however those things are around 500 euros or even more.
AviationPro Yeah, might have been artifact of me using a Nexus 7 (7'' display). Anyway, I prefer HW buttons. As for a hardware FMC - maybe some day in the future :) Or I'll make my own, ain't that hard to take apart a keyboard. I wouldn't care if the addon you were demoing here were free. But 20 euros? I'd say that's downright theft. Of course, I'm only speaking for myself, value judgments are subjective :)
Haha yes, maybe some day :) I think the trouble is that a seperate company is making these CDUs, it would be better if all developers would provide one themselves. That would be easier and probably less expensive or even free. I don't think I will buy any other of their CDUs, but since I fly the 737 regulary I didn't mind to purchase this one :)
