Swami Sarvapriyananda is such a great spiritual orator. Not only will he talk about Vedanta , but he will tie it into quantum physics and philosophy.. He was also a student at the Harvard Divinity school so he would have been well challenged about his own ' religion ' . 🙏🕉️
Thank you Swami Sarvapriyananda. Sri Ramakrishna's teachings are absolutely in tune with Sri Sathya Sai's. Same consciousness spoke through different bodies. Om Sai Ram 🙏
Very good interview. Talking about what Sri Ramana Maharshi says, here is a great example: “Be what you are. There is nothing to come down or become manifest. All that is necessary is to lose the ego. That which is is always there. Even now you are that. You are not apart from it. The blank is seen by you. You are there to see the blank. What do you wait for? The thought, ‘I have not seen, the expectation to see and the desire of getting something, are all the workings of the ego. You have fallen into snares of the ego. The ego says all these and not you. Be yourself and nothing more! See who you are and remain as the Self, free from birth, going, coming and returning.”
Swami Sarvapriyananda in his element the rock star that he is ! Ted Henry not to be left far behind! Some questions I've always wanted to ask Swami Sarvapriyananda myself!
the god of this era is high tech in this mechanical age. we are reduced to be mere robots and serfs under a controlling govt. why is dark indeed. nice to here Swami shine some light in this dark age.
Love Sw.Sarvapriyanada's talks..so good to see these two wonderful persons on one program. Souljourns is one of my fav TH-cam videos programs. Thanks Ted Henry🙏
Thank you for posting this interview. Listening to the wisdom of Swamiji is always wonderful as he time and time again directs us to the path of wonder and our true nature🙏
Very interesting, very insightful journey into Advait Vedant of Șri Șankaracharya - wish there was a platform where we listeners too could ask questions and have our doubts removed by the revered Swami Sarvpriyananada ji. 🙏
Wonderful conversation. E can relate to the discussion. Spirituality is a developmental process, moving through a progressive series of stages; tangible benefits--joy, compassion, wisdom, peace-accrue at each stage. It took me half a life time to wrap my mind around advaita. And the beauty of sanatana is that you can mix and match. When I am meditating at a Sai Bhajan session the potential to drop the “ I” seems the most possible. Hopefully one day!
Swamiji, your words bring me to remember a poem by the mystic poet Francis Thompdon, "in No Strange Land" where he says it is our estranged faces that miss the many splendoured thing.
We humans have to depend on the real world and $ for a warm, cozy building ro live, food and clothes plus $ to tour and for med care and grocery. How is ot possible to abandon the real world with world comforts unless one lives in wilderness?? I wonder. How is it possible to sneer at the real world I spite of needing it for survival?? I do believe in the almighty and the enlightened souls. I do love and admire the Ramakrishna mission and its missionaries.
I humbly say that there is no scale for Enlightenment - it's binary , either you are or you are not . However , there is a spectrum of being awakened ( unfortunately some TH-cam new Age ' gurus ' have conflated the word awakened with Enlightened) so that you go from just being aware of your soul stirring to be someone who is so soaked in spirituality that it becomes your natural state . They are like fully qualified academics awaiting a full Professorship, or a fully qualified Doctor awaiting a Consultants post .They can flip over into Enlightenment any second , but in their daily lives they will live in a way that is very similar to an Enlightened person - in the same way the Moon reflects the Sun . I might also mention that 50 years ago I was given great advice by a highly awakened yogi . He said that on your search if you meet anyone who claims to have an elevated spiritual state ( including Enlightenment) then run away very quickly from them . That turned out to be very valuable advice . Highly awakened people , or Enlightened people , don't need to advertise their spiritual state . You will know it by the force of their Realization. Best wishes to you 🙏🕉️🕊️ Best wishes 🙏🕉️
Dwaita (Duality) in Adwaita Vedanta Philosophy (Non-Duality) refers to the Duality of Purusha (Consciousness) and Prakriti (Nature) of Samkhya Philosophy. Many confuse between the Samkhya Dwaita and Dwaita of Madhwacharya, which refers to the duality between Man and God. It is important to note that India had more than sixteen different philosophies, including many atheistic philosophies, all of which were respected and celebrated. The book Sarva Darshana Samgraha by Madhavacharya details these various philosophies. So, westerners should not be under any misunderstanding that Adwaita Vedanta is the only philosophy of India, although it is the most quoted philosophy currently.
Thank you Swamiji! I have a question. When you said in a sentence ‘by God’s grace that kid…’ or when you said some people are commissioned by God to teach, it sounded so dualistic and I feel very confused. I wish you could explain that.
RThanks for your questions....I do hope Swami reads your questions and answers them....ok if I chime in? There is only the One...it is God, but the I am. And who is the I am.? The answer is Self, Brahman, Atma....or another name for these three, Your True Self, your true eternal Being, Awareness & Bliss. So, it follows that by the grace of the Higher Self, the lower self awakens to truth. Names vary, they're not that important....important is knowing that absolutely nothing else exists (except in maya, the dream state), outside of Maya, there is just the One. A poor, though valid word for the One....You. or I. As in I am. I hope this helps
That was helpful. Thank you. But it’s still difficult for me to understand it completely. It’s like viewing everything dualistically but at the same time knowing that the ultimate reality is non dual. I am someone who was raised atheistic. But life experiences put me in the spiritual path and advaita vedanta makes me the most sense of all other spiritual aspects by religions.
Too much talk about real and unreal but if I asked you to define the terms, what would you answer? I will answer that. Reality is the oneness itself. The one whole intergal state. Unreality, illusion, maya is the denial of that wholeness. Denial of oneness. Separation. From this follows that at this moment you are experiencing illusions and yes these illusions are tangible like all matter is. The real part we find in the inner oneness that encompases everything without distinction. Reality is not tangible, wholeness has no definition other than the understanding that it is one.
NOT SO much denial of the wholeness, but false affirmation of the illusory mind - body Konstantine....As A Course In Miracles taught me in 1998, one beings the path of non-duality by first forgetting everything they have ever learned. My two-cents worth... thanks for your comments.
Swami sarvapriyananda ji is ocean of wisdom and love 🙏🏼❤️

Enlightenment is One's Birthright but get it only as per One's seniority ( Senior Souls ).

55:00 and his response to Ted's last question are what you are looking for

His message in fact is not different from that of Sri Sathya Sai Baba who lived this message all through in his words, deeds and being.
