A hard victory, clear disadvantage for the yanks! to paraphrase one part in The Art of War by Sun Tzu- Soldiers who are at the battlefield already, have time to rest before the battle. While the soldiers that charged in the field, show up already exhausted; not to mention the high ground advantage. Y'all have to cross a bridge, while taking fire, charge a hill, while taking fire, try to form some sort of defensive line by taking cover behind those rocks, while getting picked off. They killed almost double the amount and I'm not surprised. "Lay down the shovel, and throw away the spade For Richmond is a hard road to travel I'm afraid"
Really enjoyed your videos. I actually raced home one day from work to come watch one of these. It helped me get through a really rough time. Not sure how, but thanks.
I tell you what, once artillery is introduced, trying to defend that bridge is going to get MUCH harder. A good bombardment of bursting shells will make that fenceline indefensible and a creeping barrage to restrict the enemy movement will allow the infantry to cross in relative safety.
Y'know, I really love the idea of the scale of War of Rights. How big are the servers going to be? Because I can honestly see 3-4 regiments of 30 men, in addition to two cavalry brigades of 15 or so and each gun needs 3-4 men to crew it... That's to say nothing of skirmisher units to harass the enemy... If the servers are big enough it's going to be epic. As much as I love line battles too, it's going to get so much better on organised servers, when you can have different types of troops each fulfilling their own role on the battlefield. Infantry using fire-and-advance while skirmishers pin the enemy in place by targeting the enemy's officers; cavalry chasing off the skirmishers while artillery bombards the enemy... I know Napoleonic tactics are the name of the game, but even 50 years before the Civil War, armies were experimenting with riflemen and sharpshooters like Britain's Greenjackets. We see the 19th century as a time of military stagnation we were only shaken out of by the Great War in 1914, but in truth, there were advances in doctrine and tactics throughout the period, especially in America! While armies in Europe believed that trenches made men cowards and vulnerable to cavalry, the Union and Confederate forces had begun to adopt them to common use - one of the reasons the Union was able to defend Culp's Hill at Gettysburg was due to digging trenches and breastworks. Even without the ability to dig in, it'll be fascinating to see those kinds of complex strategies play out, rather than either two groups standing in lines, or everyone just running around like headless chickens.
Wow this looks awesome! Played mount & Blade Napoleonic for a long time, but this looks great. But how do not get lost on this map with no direction... What about telling who and how many you kill? This warrants a lot more watching! Really awesome videos Cody!
So I got this game over the weekend, and I'm enjoying it, although I've died a hundred times, but how long has this been in development, and it's still in alpha? These videos are more than a year old. I would like to see the fully developed game with cavalry, artillery and so on. An option for in-game kill counters, etc., would be nice too.
Break contact and re-group. Use volley and independent fire to shoot at the height of a man who is in concealment such as bushes, tall grass, hedge rows or forest. Using this will give you the advantage of survival and if your position has a hill to crouch behind and be sight/eye level with plus tall grass to peek through that conceals your position, it does slightly obscure your view but it obscures enemy observation increasingly the longer the range. Never have anyone stand on edge of cornfield if using it for camouflage, always have everyone remain 2-3 corn stalks back and peek over the leaves of corn. Fire and move as smoke will block your view plus mark your position/line, which enemy could just fire into at height of a man through the smoke or charge you if close enough and if amount of smoke permits.
This game looks way more friendly than most other online games. The people are way more calm and don't act toxic like they would in rainbow six siege or CSGO
So why would you want to remove your bayonet? Does it do anything other than giving a better melee, like decrease shot accuracy or increase weapon sway?
game is awesome and there is plenty more wars they could do with same gameplay u would think this combat would be boring but what a awesome community does for a game blows me away wont find anything like it on console lol
Is this game going to enter Steam early access soon? To make the 29$ pledge worth or would the 69$ for instant access be more worth now if Steam early access is far away?

Be a good soilder and know how to follow orders as well as give them when needed. I base a lot of my promotions off of how good of a team player you are as well.

So glad I could help you out, Allan! Means a lot :)

VERY true.

He doesn't need to have subs to be awsome
Yea he is already awesome with or without subs
Not a single man went down when you made it past the bridge. New achievement cody. Bravo!
TJ Miller is such a great officer
Why did you let that rebel flag bearer just waltz on past like that, at like 04:50? You were doing so well!!
whoever that commander was for your team was really good
Wow this looks awesome! Played mount & Blade Napoleonic for a long time, but this looks great. But how do not get lost on this map with no direction... What about telling who and how many you kill? This warrants a lot more watching! Really awesome videos Cody!
dpraptor thanks man! Once you play the game and understand the maps, it is very easy to locate where to go.
Kill count is secondary, win the engagement is priority !
You know triple A companies will keep pumping out Call of Duty games when they could take a small chance and create a game like this.
Subscribed and Loving the channel keep up the great videos
Cody! 17:00-17:40 was me! LOL
Beastly Player lmao
I am considering getting the sergeant tier, but I am unsure as I don’t know when phase two will release.
In the southern part of Texas, near the town of San Antone...
17:32 that guy took a shot for you lol

Great stuff! :) That was a hard fought victory.
TrustyJam thank you! It was indeed.

I like the Fog of War aspect to it. Having kill counters would probably just encourage more rambos.
That's a point-- we got way too many of those now.
Just a uber game, one can almost feel the sheer bloodbath !
Mats Johansson yeah

Looks very much like Burnside's Bridge at Antietam (aka Sharpsburg); too bad there's no sound for the Minie balls whizzing past.
it is Burside's Bridge ;)
So why would you want to remove your bayonet? Does it do anything other than giving a better melee, like decrease shot accuracy or increase weapon sway?
It increases weapon sway when you are aiming.

No excuses:)
