this title reminds me of the story from 3 or 4 years ago with the friends who buy a theme park and find the "secret track" of their favorite coaster. I wonder if it will have a similar ending or be something we've never heard before
Mayhem Mountain reminded me of Jet Moto where you race through heaven and hell for some reason. I loved that story as much as I loved that game, plus I was playing Rollercoaster Tycoon heavily when I first heard it.
This doesn’t surprise me. There’s a lot of controversy about Thomas’s whereabouts and activities from around 1937-1945, when he went missing before he resurfaced in Argentina with a fresh livery in 1951. Seeing him mixed up with some type of supernatural exploitation of the weak is more of a confirmation of character for me. I’m not shocked by this blockbuster documentary, if anything, I feel vindicated. The bravery of this field reporter to get this out cannot be overstated.
This story really tugged on my heartstrings. i feel like a follow up of Peter sending authorities down to save Tommy would be really a really wholesome idea and then Tommy's reaction would be fun
That was both very tragic, and very good. I admit that, upon hearing "rectangular blue box with a word on it", my immediate thought jokingly said "TARDIS" but then the guy says "Tommy" and it's just wow. Clicks into place really well. I'd almost love to see a return to this, but I don't know what they'd do. Definitely felt badly for those people.
This one was creepy, but it also tugged on the heartstrings too. I couldn’t fully figure it out, but enough was clear to understand. Quite a unique story, and he certainly wouldn’t do much urban exploration after that. Well not many people would I suppose. Overall a great story! Hats off to the author, and definitely to CMPasta! Thanks you two! 👍👍👍👍
John and Luke was his name, he was a mess when we found him. Well, he's never been 100% and he still isn't really, but what's sanity but stability. We got him a comfortable life as a handyman and boy did he shine at that. The promise was that when resources were permitting we would go back through his past. We'd find all those other ones he's crossed paths with, the unfortunates. Sam Wamm was disturbingly good at that, almost like magic. He could just look at you with a glance and know your whole life story. I know they say that about laborers sometimes, but it's never concrete details like with Sam. Names, places, objects, events, emotions, even thoughts, all known beyond his experience. He simply says it's social skills, just a vastly more superior form to what we know. He seemed helpful at first, but now i know he was just using us to gather his own info. Him and John or Luke or whatever he calls himself have some sort of bond. They couldn't be any more different in personality, but they're equally clever in their own way. Well you know what happened by now, I'm sure of that, the two of them took everything. When I say everything I mean that quite literally, in a way you'd never believe. We woke up the next day and the entire town was gone, with no evidence it was ever there. To look at it you'd just seen a patch of good old American rurality us just lying on the bare dirt. I know this is hard to believe considering every scrap of evidence says the town was never there. That's just how thorough these guys were, even had me almost believing I'd dreamed it all up. You see though things just don't vanish like that despite whoever's best efforts. There's been moments where i've overheard a conversation somewhere or some footage. The same names, events, etc. keep turning up but with different context now. I'm sure you'll explain that as me retroactively incorporating them or whatever. I can't really prove anything to you unless you were inside my own head. Sam did do one favor for us however and it's not tht easy to explain really. I'd say it's like some sort of clarity of mind, being able to see the bigger picture sort of thing. You see I know now when I'm being lied to and don't call it paranoia I'm certain of the difference. You like being ignorant, it gives you comfort and lets you get by for now. That's just wishful thinking, it's in their benefit to keep you tiding by, but only as long as useful. I see things quite diferently, I see the whole mechanism and how it works, this society. Unlike you I don't feel like being a cog in a bigger machine, i'd rather be a weed. You've always had to compensate for our kind, bending over backward to keep your comforts. Seems rather pointless to me now when I can poke and pry and take what i want. I can do it in a way that makes everything run so smooth, but not in your favor. You're not a machine preserving itself, you're a parasite exploiting a host. You try to keep your host healthy and don't interfere beyond your standing. You chip away here and there at things that won't be missed and prepare to spread. Sam is cough medicine and us we're T-cells. You're not in control just because we let you get away with it. If you're no trouble to us why would we interfere? You are trouble though aren't you? The meager amount you were able to get wasn't quite enough to live comfortably. In that little extra reach you put the host in danger and that's why Sam is here. I bet you're wondering what any of this has to do with Edward. That's because you see Edward as another person like you or me as you see it. Edward's not a person, it's a place, and the individual you've been dealing with are its residents. Yes, plural, and I don't multiple personality or anything like that, these are multiple people. Why have you only ever seen one? You haven't. They all look the same, hundreds of them. How is that even possible when you haven't cracked cloning yet, simple, they're not clones. They're not A.I. or projections or some other illusion or anything like that. They put each of the population's brains into a copy and paste robotic shell. Then cover that up with clothes, fake skin, fake scalp, facial and body hair, the works. You can only tell by touch, trust me on that, all the body functions are easily faked. You'd think you can tell by sight becausse their movements would be janky? Those human brains in there move the body as if it was made of flesh. The mechanisms the machines use to move function the same way as the human body. All the movements look completely natural, they were when they were still made of flesh. It just takes a little while to get used to the change in their build. You wanna know about those mines? I say they're not dead and residents don't like intruders. I'll give you just one clue and it won't help you unless you go in there with the right intentions. That place has a million entrances and exits all over the area, but no-one knows where. People that know keep it secret from you, why would they comply to your needs anyway? I however remember a single door, though it has extensive security. At the sports center there is a door with the number "01" or at least it should be. The number sequence skips that door so just look at where door 01 should be. It appears rather unassuming, but there will be someone nearby it always. Ignore the door and talk to them first to gain access, they're the security. When you finally see inside you should see something you recognise. Try not to waste time at the entrance, they don't want bystanders witnessing anything. Just remember which insects benefit the life cycle and which are purely ornemental. You'll need to be brutally honest regarding that and I don't think you'll ever be that honest.
