first time i see a bowling championship moment, aside from it being a powerful spare the commentators trumped all others in all sports, that's such genuine enthusiasm hahah
My best friend when I was in my early 20s was an excellent bowler, one of the best in two leagues. I tried it, not my game. But I enjoyed watching him. I like to do everything one can do in a bowling alley Except bowl: pinball; video games; beer of course. But most of all, watching people put themselves into situations, then seeing how well they deal with them (presuming of course that a strike was not thrown). Leaving a single pin? Good chance of success. But This situation? LOVED watching that! BRAVO!!! Thank you for posting this. Cheers!
On another video a guy by the name of PinoyBowler summed up why this was so good: "Anthony Neuer is that not only he converts the 7-10 first time in 30 Years but also he’s the first PBA Pro that converts it on a Brunswick GSX Pinsetter on TV, the GSX is the hardest pinsetter to get any pins flying out of the pit because the pit curtain and pit cushion were separated from each other. The last 3 Pros that converted the 7-10 before on tv were all on easy pinsetters (Roth & Stayrook on Brunswick A2 and Mazza on AMF 82-70) since the pit curtain and pit cushion were connected"
I picked up a 7-10 split when I was on a bowling league team in the 3rd grade. Everyone that saw it erupted into cheer. It caught the attention of the people at the front desk and they announced it over the mic. At the time, I didn't understand what all the fuss was about. I've only done it a few times afterwords.
I have been bowling multiple times a week for 45 years, now average around 220, and only picked up the 7-10 once, and it was lucky. In over 90 of my leagues, some having 40 teams, I have seen the 7-10 picked up two other times. So claiming you made the 7-10 3+ times is very unlikely (unless you are using string pins). I suspect no bowler on Earth has done that.
By definition, it's not really luck as the bowler intended to bounce the skittle off the side and hit the other one. It's the only way to do it. But you are right that high speed is required.
Once Doyle got his head cut off with a lawn mower blade, Randy finally got to practice allowing him to make a 7/10 split, causing the biggest swing in announcer mood in sports history
it actually feels so great getting a 7-10 split, im no pro, i think my average was about 165-170 but nailing a split like this is so much better than getting a strike.
That's how I did it the 3-5 times I've picked up 7-10 splits. One of the pins left standing has to slam into the back wall hard enough to bounce around & bump the other pin
my brother had the same pins 7 10 he through his ball then walked back to his seat everyone was cheering he turned around and both pins were down since he was bowling in a league about 30 years ago he got a 7 10 patch I sure miss him
I’ve been bowling for 38 years multiple leagues and thousands of games I’ve never made it . But I can say when I have just the 10 or 7 I’ve made it go to the spot the other pin once stood so there is hope on my part…….
Yeah, I'd be impressed if he hit the far right of the pin and sent it directly towards the 7 like a snooker cut. He just smashed a ball down there and the pin flew around at the back a bit. Not really skillful at all.
I'm not a bowling fan by any means so someone help me out. Is hitting a 7 10 spare that big of a deal? I've literally hit that shot and I'm like a 100ish bowler. Pretty sure I've seen other people hit it a few times too....
@billm4108 I promise you brother I've hit a 7 10 split. I have zero pride or reason to lie. Like I said I'm like a 100 bowler prolly bowled under 50 times in my life, but I hit a 7 10 spare and I feel like I've seen others as well....
The gloriousness of that ginger mullet can't be overstated
If Disney makes a movie about him they will cast a black man to play him.
@@AB-ez4rm Stop noticing stuff ray zyz😂😂
Let's be clear. I have only been bowling 10 - 20 times in my life and I have never watched a bowling video before. But that was GLORIOUS.
Agreed and now
you will be flooded with Bowling vids...
Gets the 7-10 and the commentators suddenly go full WWE
OH BAH GAWD!!
Sounds like he had a just had big “O” (gasem)
The Ginger Assassin 😂😂😂😂😂
"O' Doyle Rules!"
The only person in that family who is going places 😂
@@okami-chan9772Not anymore 🍌 😁
I’ve gotta a feeling those pins are going down O’Doyle. 😂
Fckn brilliant comment

Not to be a hater, but go watch ssbm from like any point before 2015
I can't spake! I can't spake!!
tell me you only watch American sports without telling me you only watch American sports 🤣
Is it really a sport if you can drink beer & eat hotdogs while you're doing it?
To me the best was. He's moving like a Tremendous Machine. Still gives me chills.
Even Butturff was also impressed by that. That's sportsmanship. Game recognizes game.

The level of interest and knowledge needed to get this background... appreciated!
incorrect
@ Cool story
@@elmoblatch9787 yeah instead of contributing just say one word any nothing else you drain on society
It didn't bounce off the cushion, it bounced off the ball! 0:31
The "apparently" interview kid grew up and became a bowler 😊

Sod off
Doubt that. You'd hit it once not a few times

"I was on the bowling league team in 3rd grade"
😂😂😂😂
I've done it four times and my first one was in at the state championship when I was in second grade
The mullet, the shirt, the undeniable excitement of the announcers…only thing missing is a bald eagle and an f-16 flyover. Pure murica
Lucky bounce! That ball must have had a VERY high speed!
all 7-10s are lucky, its mathematically impossible to do it the proper way
@@tkrpianoSean Rash did it the proper way

Not lucky, that's how they play the 7-10, you can't really get it any other way than to bounce it off the back, so that was his intention.
There is no such thing as "luck"
Good shot, that made his day, week, month and maybe his year, and it's all on video
The 10 pin bounces off the top of the ball and comes out of the pit to get the 7 pin.
Yep
There have been more 300 games on TV than 7-10 conversions
How many 300 games have there been on TV?
@ 28 I think
@@kazehana877 Thanks.
Just did a double check 35
The announcer channeled Sam Kinison on that call, lol.
Cutter & Ms C
Sky sports should get some rights to this so people in the UK can watch it stream or record it. This sport needs it over here
To be honest I've pretty much zero interest in bowling but that is extraordinary.
Great sportsmanship 👏
The opponent was even more hyped.
Would love Sky Sports to show the PBA Tour!🎳
Woooow awesome how only seeing this now bravo👏
Always makes me laugh that there are Americans called Randy 😂
Bowling looks contagious.
song in the background is Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Lepard
i was in year 10, (1990) wagging school, AMF Southern Cross Hotel, Melbourne, Australia, 7/10 split., one of my few brags in life.

“Kingpin” sent me here.
Such a great movie.
That ginger is on fire!
Canelo with a mullet
Is that the only way to make certain 7-10 split? is to get a rebound from the back wall?
That's how I did it the 3-5 times I've picked up 7-10 splits.
One of the pins left standing has to slam into the back wall hard enough to bounce around & bump the other pin
Funnily enough, I did this exact shot when I was 13 at a bowling ally in London. It was quite glorious, though :)
I really hope 'the ginger assassin" is his real nickname 👍👌
That’s gotta be the second best feeling after bowling a perfect 300.
The bushwackers and hacksaw jim duggan were always fun
Best announcers in all of sports !!!!!
I was watching on live TV when this happened.
I don't bowl often but I did hit one of those before. It was cool!
This guy appeared and quickly disappeared from the scene
my brother had the same pins 7 10
he through his ball then walked back
to his seat everyone was cheering
he turned around and both pins were
down since he was bowling in a league
about 30 years ago he got a 7 10 patch
I sure miss him
Even rarer these days with the swinging curtain! It's a bit easier with something firm like an A/A-2 cushion, or even an AMF one.
逆です。難しいです

Why has he got a face muzzle on, is there toxic fumes in the bowling alley
The mullet is way better than the actual shot.
Later that night he got a 29 in cribbage.
I don't even try to cut it..I try to throw the ball through the back of the lane and hope. I usually hit neither. 😂
Who the man?! HE IS!
A teammate of mine once picked up the 7-10. But my back was turned, so I missed it.
Not too bad sonny!
His shirt endorsed by Paul Pelosi.
first time i have seen it
Never seen that done before
Nice Pin Action!
Do you all find it funny that is wearing a mask, then he hi fives is opponent.
But his shirt in combo with the mullet. 😂
Greatness
Only did one once, when I used to league bowl.
I always wondered how that was done.
Who boy remembers the 7-10 split because of kingpin
I have technically converted the 7-10 split before. Problem is I missed the 2 and 4. Lol
The name's not boy - it's Roy. Roy Munson.
April 2021... TAKE ME BACK .
"The pins went in Cotton"
You know...i could see in his eyes that he knew he could do it.
All without his team coming up with a song for him as well
Unreal.
Also, best bowling shirt of all time.
Wicked spare been bowling for 45 years best I could ever get was the 8/10 and like him I’m a southpaw
Does throwing the ball on the lane work?
Just a lucky bounce by the 10 pin, the only way to make this split.
Yeah, I'd be impressed if he hit the far right of the pin and sent it directly towards the 7 like a snooker cut. He just smashed a ball down there and the pin flew around at the back a bit. Not really skillful at all.
Hell yea 🔥‼️
It was the MURICA shirt!

With that hair cut, I too would wear a mask.

What’s with the mask?
Mr. Neuer is a tough bowler. That was a fluke 7-10. It should have been a 4-7-10 but he had unlucky pin action.
Im here because of "Stuff you should know"
Is that Axl Rose?
No big deal ... I spare these all the time in PBA Pro Bowling 2023
Make the 7-10 in duckpin and maybe I’d be impressed…
What a sad time in humanity when people were led by people who thought they were right.
its just a 7-10 pickup no need to get all conspiracy theorist on us bob
My father in law made a shot like that before
Best ? No way. Once I bowled it down the ramp, hit the bumpers 3 times and got a strike
That doesn't happen very often.
ottoooo
What are the odds on this happening?
I know people with 50 300 games who never got a 7-10
I've never seen anyone in person get it.
