    My favorite boulder is probably #10, the black undercling is probably my favorite hold on the board, and i love the double gaston move, into recycling it with the left hand. Watching this video has made me realize, I have never heard a Dave Matthews song in my life. Have never heard this man's voice, nor seen his face. Sorry to this man. If I win the giveaway, I will listen to two albums of your choice, Roy.

    Dear Roy,
    I have been projecting Roof of Rumors in Bolton all summer. The video of your send has been driving me crazy. It's also what brought me to these videos. Kudos.
    Boulder no. 8 looks nicest to me. Feel that good feet and bad holds encourages body tension. Love me some good tension.

    The Space Between #5! I've always loved seeing "fast compression" moves, and a boulder I want to try outside this season actually has this.

    #10 but honorable mention to “app instructions w/ kerry” and the syndicate tank! great work as always!

    All the boulders are so good. I like #2 because of the shoulder move and change of direction. An easy boulder that really teach climbers well.

    I’m stoked to try number 8, but my favorite to watch was 9. Where are you going is my favorite DMB song. Help me get tension strong

    • @brandonwalker133
      @brandonwalker133 ปีที่แล้ว

      My reasoning for 8 is because it requires driving through the feet as you do the bumps with your right hand on not great hands. Looking to get tension strong this fall

    Ants Marching - Which is now what I'm calling boulder #3. I've got to work on that back flag!

    #7 definitely looked the flashiest and the cross moves always get me really hyped up to try it! Style-wise I'd probably pick #6 as something for me to work on with the boulder being shorter and more dynamic! Don't think i've laughed this hard on a video in a while thanks to Roy's insane wit! Cheers to the tension team for the video

    Space Between #10 is definitely my favorite. Recycling on the gaston/undercling was a really creative use of that hold in a really forcing sequence. Please make these Playlists for the TB1!!

    @Vertical_Vibes ปีที่แล้ว

    Love the Dave Mathew’s music references. Great video, such helpful tips. Keep up the amazing content, super sick and I always love to see a new video. Thank you. My favorite Boulder has to be the 8th because it’s definitely my style of climb and a good grade for me to be able to give like a flash go and maybe flash if I try super hard and really focus or get it in a few goes and use it for circuits and repeating it.

    Torn between 7 and 10. The recycle and bump in 7 looks really fun. But the first moves with that gnarly gaston and crossover in 10 looks so sick.

  • @pabloreyes406
    @pabloreyes406 ปีที่แล้ว

    Space Between 7, I love that flip to the undercling. Also that beta you did was really visual. Especially the last crimp. And the best song by Dave Matheww definitely is Crush. What a song

  • @csechler343

    Boulder 4!! It looks really challenging for the grade. The rise up move 🫨

  • @antoineaube8541
    @antoineaube8541 ปีที่แล้ว

    Number 4 is rad, the "rize up" move is applicable to a lot of scenarios climbing both indoors and outdoors. Catching a hold without proper opposition, especially on an the "easier" boulders is a great way to exemplify where your focus should be when you're "in between". Stoked to try this set out! Glad my gym has the spray set-up.

    @jackdavidson8708 ปีที่แล้ว

    Boulder #2 is my favorite for how well it illustrates the importance of body positioning and moving side to side. I climb with a lot of beginners, so this boulder would be a great tool to help them learn with! I'd most want to hop on #7 myself, looks like some really fun movement.
    Ants Marching is a hard song to beat for me

    #6 is my favorite, start with undercling and a nice cross over, the moves are powerful! Definitely a fun one to climb.

  • @bramderidder2002
    @bramderidder2002 ปีที่แล้ว

    When he stuck the last move of boulder #10 in isolation 15:09 his left knee went on the outside of his hand, but when he tried it on his goes from the bottom 14:29 15:41 it went on the inside. I think this might have blocked his movement to the right a bit making it harder to hold the next to last hold long enough to get the finishing hold. What do you think?

    Space Between #10 is my favorite of the set. Roy's comment about extending more with your non-leading hand for hard moves where you come up short is super helpful on my project. I am excited to try the whole set and practice extending more on boulder #10! Favorite song by Dave Mathews song is Ants Marching or The Space Between of course!

  • @gavinwalberg7664
    @gavinwalberg7664 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Boulder #7 has to be my favorite, the "move thats not a move" is really cool and adds some complexity to a boulder that would already be at my limit. I hope I get the chance to try it some day.

    Really love these playlist sets. It's such a great idea to specifically target weaknesses. Moving from a small box square on is definitely one of mine so I'd love to get on all of these problems.
    Edit. Boulder 8 is my favourite, just to suck up a bit.

  • @joshglazer3796
    @joshglazer3796 ปีที่แล้ว

    My favorite was number 8. I love the idea of putting very bad hands with the best feet, when oftentimes we are focused on making the biggest gnarliest looking moves between hands.

    Gotta love #7. Really like the aesthetics of the flip move and the cramped high feet look nails

  • @fedebori
    @fedebori ปีที่แล้ว

    I really like #8 cause you really need to maintain tension on those feet for the ~space between~ to work... Roy's fun to watch and super chill (his demo on the tension block overview video was super good)...favorite Dave Matthews Band song is Ants Marching

    appreciate y'all using the spray set for this video as it def needs some love; the disparity in boulders is quite large and i get that likely mirrors how your customer's board layouts are distributed but would love some pumping from y'all to help build the base for the spray!

    I’m torn between #9 and #10!! The footwork and body position of 9 look super fun and interesting🔥 On the other hand, 10 has really cool full body movement and a siiiick dynamic finish😎. Thanks for the sets!! Stoked to try them out🤙

    #10 was a sicky sicky line, but I'll probably pick #8 for my favorite. Great tip on choosing good feet and bad holds, I usually set horrific feet.
    Favorite Dave song is a live cover of "All Along the Watchtower". Dude goes off

  • @RooftopRamble
    @RooftopRamble ปีที่แล้ว

    I definitely like The Space Between #8. Specifically the second move because of how shoulder intense it is, and like you said with the feet being good I have found some of the outdoor boulders that I like the most are things like compression matters in Gunnela because of the good feet and bad hands style.

  • @fullofrice

    Man #9 is the shit and my favourite! Love the heel hook, the lock off after, and the swing to the right while holding on to that left hold in a gaston position but way up high. Loooooove that pressure on the left shoulder!
    On boulder #10, I wonder if it's possible to hold the right side of the big hold with the right hand instead of the left side, bump right hand to the crimpy jug after, then swing the right foot over to the right, catch the big hold on its left side with left hand, , and dynamically go into the next hold with the right foot already on. Might even save that left hand swap move on the big hold. But I've never climbed on a TB2 before so that might be just nonsensical beta. Sick video guys!
