Not to Pee Pee on this album, I know many love it. But Bro, in my lowly and wretched opinion Meteora is *10 times* the album this is and it is the ONLY 1-Step from anyone that I've ever bought in over 45 years of collecting vinyl. AND, the sound is absolutely mind-blowing too! Just say'n in case you haven't had a chance really to check it out. The standard pressing is excellent too, but Levi REALLY worked some serious Magic on the Meteora 1-Step. I truly cannot recommend it enough...
This was a wonderful listen - lots of vinyl education all around. Perhaps the highlight aside from the main topic was about Prince hopping in the Jeep to test out mixes. That is so true for me too, have to be able to enjoy it in the car ❤
THIS is the first album I fell in love with that wasn’t influenced by my parent’s taste (I was born in 84). Drained lots of batteries in my Walkmen listening to it for hours/days/weeks/years. I feel like I gotta pull the trigger on this one. Very nostalgic for me
My guess for the person he's talking to is Neil Young. We'll see though. About the scuffing- I chock it down to being able to see the mold release agent. I've noticed all my mofi one steps as well as BSM have what look like scuffing but after a wet clean they go away.
I ordered. My American Idiot came in bad shape due to packaging and Fed Ex incompetence. Grover and BSM took care of me and made it right but fingers crossed Dookie arrives safely. Love this series!
Steve, keenly awaiting the show that covers upcoming BSM The Flaming Lips re-issues. Why not One-Step for Yoshimi?? I'd have bought that in a heartbeat.
Such a great roundtable, thank you! I love the AI One Step, so I absolutely believe the Dookie One Step will be definitive. Dookie isn't a favorite album of mine, so I'm good with the old KG cut... but if a cheaper, High Performance version does ever come out I'd be very tempted. Any chance you can ask Chris a question about Ingenue? Since the album was originally mastered by him, did he only make digital masters or did he also cut from tape for the vinyl that came out at the time? Either way, the 45 RPM, AAA, One Step of Ingenue will be an instant buy for me.
Glad you enjoyed the show. Chris cut from a digital file for the 25th anniversary of Ingénue. His new one step AAA cut will blow your mind. It’s unreal. I cranked it today. So so dynamic. What a treat.
Thank you, I bet! Btw, I was referring to the original vinyl in 1992 that was pressed and released in Germany. I read people on Discogs saying the OG vinyl sounds better than the original CD. I ended up ordering a copy off Discogs, since that LP is not prohibitively expensive. I'm still waiting for the OG to come in the mail! XD
Dookie is my favorite studio album by Green Day (for memories reasons), but I find it to be a VERY strange choice for the One Step treatment. Just do a really good (non-one step) pressing, mastered by a reputable mastering engineer (i.e. a Rhino High Fidelity) and be done with it! IMO. No way this album is worth 100+ bucks
Preordered! My first BSM One Step (as I’m not a fan of Linkin Park, and like but don’t love American Idiot). Tempted by the upcoming KD Lang title too!
Great show but I'm skeptical that if Gover and Chris are so certain the One -Step beats the original how are they both not aware the original vinyl has Ernie on the back cover... Did they actually have an original in hand to A-B it with (which would have had Ernie on the back cover)?? . It's an interesting statement from Grover that BSM serves both Audiophiles and Superfans - The Ernie knowledge only just falls into the Superfan category - I'm surprised they didn't know. #ERNIEGATE
Definitely a day 1 purchase for me.. The first one step I've actually been excited about! 🤘
Love this album.

Probably the best Roundtable EVER!
Thank you. I really appreciate that. 🙏
@@stevewestman7774 You let them talk which is hugely important.

Prince and a Jeep. Who would have guessed. Thanks for watching.

Great year to be born. It’s a great album. Hope u enjoy the new one step.
I’m in for this one!
So worth it. It’s amazing.

That would be awesome 🙏
My first thought was NY too! He's on Warner so it fits.

Good to hear. 🙏
Yeah my american idiot turned up completely destroyed, wish the green day shop packed there records better@@stevewestman7774

Yes. In the new year for flaming lips.

Well, if Dookie sounds ANYWHERE NEAR as good as Levi's 1-Step of Meteora, WOW, that is going to be something! (and, this one is all analogue... 😉)
Yes. My Dookie test pressing blew me away. It sounds so good.
Does anyone know if the 2008 because sound matters Dookie pressing, cut by Kevin, pressed at Pallas was cut from digital or analog? Thanks!

Congrats. The KD Lang one-step sounds incredible. AAA cut. Bellman’s 25th anniversary was a digital cut. The new one is a real banger.
Definitely leaning towards purchasing it! Feb 28th release date it seems.
Way too funny. We have a 2008 Toyota Highlander with a JBL sound system and its also our "go-to" listening station.
Right! lol.

Hahaha. Thanks for watching.
If it’s anything like American Idiot it will sound amazing that is one of my better sounding records in my collection and I have many MoFi 1 Steps
Trust me. This Dookie cut is a banger. Incredible.
$ 125 for 1 record , That's Nuts
Audiophile!
$125 record in a big fancy box.. How Punk Rock.
It sounds incredible.
The drumming sounds all the same. In my opinion it’s an awful album.
I would hope so @@stevewestman7774
3k copies produced yet 8K views on this video and it hasn’t sold out yet! Flop! 😅 JKJK
Haha
Oh..this isn't a joke 😮
Nope!
