You can collect them all just wok on one at a time. Have a collection of princesses and then start something different because when you finish with one collection you can start something different. I would say if you’re not a big fan of a certain piece I wouldn’t collect the rest in that collection. You have beautiful collection. I love the lights. 🤗

I like the idea of making each shelf dedicated to a specific movie! I love the Jim shores with light features like the Ariel with sun in the background. It would be so cool if you had a light-up piece for each princess 😍

Ginger I think you should collect the Mickey and Minnies like you mentioned at the top of the show. I like the couture de force the best but Jim shore is creeping up on me some how I have a bunch lol
Love your collection. For now i just go with the ones that mean the most to me like belle with her dad I had to get that one because it resembles my dad and my relationship. And my next addition is the white woodland belle with the sheep because i raise sheep and love belle so it just calls my name lol. I could very easily go over board with Jim shores
You def don’t need a whole set to keep a few pieces. If you love it and you can get, get it! Even if you don’t want nothing out the rest of the set. LOL

I like my shelves to be all themes towards a movie or show rather than a designer, I don’t have much but my favorite shelf is a Hunchback of Notre Dame shelf (my all time favorite Disney movie!) it has a Loungefly and some Funko pops and some pins and 90s stuff and a Jim shore on it 🥴😂 you would def hate it if your OCD! 😂😂

Hi Celia! My husband just looked up acrylic shelving on Amazon. I don’t know the exact brand… they all seem to be sitting perfectly on the shelves. I want to “decorate” more with fake moss or fake grass looking!
I made the decision for myself to collect only Mickey and Minnie. Love it the most when they match. There's not always a Minnie for every Mickey. I dont't collect all the figurines that come out, only the ones I a get an awesome Awwww feeling from. And yes...I get a lot off Awwww feelings, but still think hard about it how special I think they are. That's why I only go for Mickey and minnie. I collect Jim Shore Peter Pan & Lilo & Stitch and I want to throw away the boxes b/c I display mine year round & I find it silly to store Rubbermaid containers of empty boxes but then I second guess my self and wonder if I should just hold onto them?! Thoughts & suggestions please & thank you!
This is a good thing to think about. I initially had lots of random ones I liked and then cut my list down to the current beauty and the beast figurines out there since they are easier to get right now and maybe one or two other movies that I really like. I'd say stick to whatever collections you like the most unless it's a character you really like and don't mind random pieces from and then sell the rest. White woodlands are nice though so since you have that one started I'd finish it!
I struggle with the same thing.....not necessarily with which ones to “get”, as most come in my mystery boxes. But rather how to display them (by movie or collection). Right now I have them by movie, but I think if I were to have three of more of a set (carved by heart, white woodland, etc), I’d probably be tempted to display those together. It’s an agonizing decision. I feel ya!
Okay you asked so I'm going to answer... I definitely love getting Mickey and Minnie figures that match together. I don't like the story book collections. I'm not a big fan of the white woodland however they are beautiful. YES, I know you and I know you should get the princesses with the castle on the dresses!

I’m going crazy over Jim shore and trying to decide how to display etc. I love your set up now/ and to tell you the truth- I found quite a few collectors on Instagram and though their collections are primarily princess- their displays are so gorgeous bc it’s princesses with their movie friends, the story books - so I say you don’t have to decide! Buy the pieces you like! And they will look lovely bc each shelf will have its own unique pieces :) Just a thought! Enjoy! ❤ oh! I JUST recvd the Ariel DELUXE (enchanted) figure and WHOA!! I fouce My Disney collection by. fav movie and by fav character. For example I love Pinocchio. but I mainly collect Jiminy Cricket and Blue Fairy because I like them more than the others. That doesn't mean that Pinocchio himself isn't featured I do have some items with Pinocchio, but he's not the focus Jiminy is, so, instead of collecting by movie why not arrange by character? That way you won't have too many items.Say you want Cinderella in her blue dress. okay what I do is I browse very carefully because you don't want to buy something, just because you may regret it later set a reasonable budget and don't go over. What I do is I calucate. everything before I make the purchase that way I know if I can buy it or not. You may have to downsize your collection, or take a break on certain items until you downsize. It''s okay. It's part of life. You don't have to stop collecting I've been a Disney collector since 2015 It's fun, but it can take up. a lot of space in your home, so collect smart use your money wisely and be selective:)
I think you can get more of the collections you like but you don't have to get them all. Like I have a few storybook ones and I will get more but not for the movies I don't like. So I will have a collection it just won't be complete and I am ok with that. It is a little easier to collect the whole collection when there are just 4 or 5 pieces.aybe start with the smaller collections like the princesses with the gift because I think there are only 4.

I don’t keep them. I am in the minority with this. I might regret it should I want to sell… but I didn’t buy them to sell so I don’t keep the boxes.
