It's crazy how the writers did this with Sam doubting Jason's innocence . Jason saved Sam when she was gonna be raped & Jason rescued Sam when she got kidnapped & Jason saved Sam when she was drowning & Jason gave her a kind son . Jason's son is acting out that's cause he needs he's real dad to be with him & to talk about stuff with him . Carly knows that Jason only wants to help & protect he's family . Jason's eyes tells you that he has a big caring heart & lots of people keep viewing him as a cold blooded killer & but their way more to him than a killer .

Look, the fact of the matter is, all the folks wondering why Jason always puts Carly first? These last few episodes simply prove why. Because Carly literally never lets him down, she always has faith in him and will never throw him under the bus like other people are now trying to. Carly comes first because Carly proves to be more steady and loyal than anyone else.
Exactly! Carly is the same way when it comes to Sonny. Loyalty is what she has for both of them. Sonny pushes her away, but she's still has his back.
Sam used to be. That is why he stayed with her the longest & kept going back to her. But the writers keep trying to ruin them. Dante should just be a place holder like she realized Drew was.

I hate that they are writing these characters like they haven't known each other for decades, but I do love the dynamic it could bring for Steve and Kelly playing at odds against each other for awhile. They both play with such raw emotion in their scenes together...this could be really good if done right.
Especially the sexual tension of an I hate you /I love you kind of thing!!!!

She has always been a judgmental shrew… remember Ethan who looked after her sister Kristina who lied about who raped her.
Sam tried to destroy Ethan, she was so completely unhinged about him and when Kristina finally told the truth the writers never saw fit for that witch Sam to apologise to Ethan for destroying his life.
Those episodes were painful to watch and it made Sam a completely unlikeable character.

One of my favorite things about this story is Carly’s maturation being on full display. She’s trying to honor the relationships she built with Sam and Drew when in the past she wouldn’t give a damn. Yes, Jason will always come first with her and she doesn’t deny that but Carly 5 years ago wouldn’t even let Drew or Sam get away with thinking Jason could be guilty and still care about them. She would have responded a lot differently.

Really?? Cause she left Patrick to get back with Jason (when Billy Miller was playing John Doe/Jason). And then she left Drew (again played by Billy) to get back with Jason. So I don't see where all of this changing up is taking place at 🤔. I believe this is the first time we're seeing her act this way towards him.
The writers want us to believe that Robyn's mother knows jason better than Sam. Ridiculous. I get its a story, and a plot has to be set in motion, but please make it make sense. No one knows Jason better than Sonny Carly and Sam!
This kinda reminds me of when Jason first return back and she thought Drew was Jason. She thought everyone was out to get “Drew”-the man she claims to love then. Now, she’s claiming Dante as the love of her life. It’s no wonder Sam’s storyline has become boring. The writers are slowly destroying who Sam really is. The same way the writers are destroying Sonny.

Sam is just exhausted, overwrought, and not thinking clearly. She knows Jason well enough to know he wouldn’t hurt Dante. She’s in pain and wants answers. She is right that the only way we will start getting answers is when Jason is in custody. But Carly won’t be the one to turn him in. Jason and Carly are each other’s “ride or die”. I hope the writers don’t try to put them together romantically again. I think their love as friends is stronger than anything.
I agree except for I'm all in on Jason and Carly being each other's end game. Sonny coming back cut their marriage short.
This is the same storyline as Elizabeth/Franco/Jason when he came back last time. You'd think they'd be more clever.
its like this comment section forgot that Dante is the man Sam loves, she is NOT going to be rational right now. of course not only is Carly Jason's best friend, she is in the head space to be rational about who Jason would or wouldn't shoot, but Sam is losing her mind off the possibility that Dante might never wake up, so of course she's having a hard time processing, Jason being alive and the man she loved almost getting killed all in a span of like 2 days. Same with Sonny and Olivia, no rationality is coming out of this. Sam's reaction is 100% normal. Carly, Michael and probably Elizabeth are the only people who wouldn't believe that Jason shot Dante.
Finally, a logical response! But I also think people want no drama when it comes to Jason/Carly/Sonny. Those 3 have a lot of hardcore fans. Lol Sam is now enemy #1.

Oh my gosh. I had no idea Tyler or Billy passed away. This is such a shock to me. Both those actors were incredibly amazing in the roles of their characters. I’m going to greatly miss them.

I don’t know what she has done to her mouth but even her face looks elongated. Dante belongs with Lulu except they messed that up too when they had him cheat on her. Something uncharacteristic. Now Sam has changed personalities. I would hate to play her character now. I would probably quit. They need to go back & watch Sam when she first came on. Danny asked Jason to swear that he didn't shoot Dante. Danny wasn't sure, so he didn't believe him immediately. When Jason tells the other people in his life that he didn't shoot Dante or was trying to kill Sonny, they'll automatically believe him - and they won't need him to swear first...
All of them are going to look stupid when this unfolds. By the looks of it, whoever is behind this is scaring Jason enough to keep quiet because it could be someone that the city knows & it’s not like him to keep quiet to Carly & Michael because he would do anything to keep them safe & want to warn them about someone. I believe that he’s working undercover, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

You have to have conflict. You can't have everyone be all lovey dovey and understanding. Part of why Guza got the boot was because people eventually grew tired of the Jason/Sonny/Carly can do no wrong show. I expect that to happen again once the adrenaline wears off from SBu's return.

DEX and JOSS would not have been successful if JASON hadn’t bound DANTE’S wounds, and raised his legs to slow the bleeding.
That should have told SAM something right there. (If JASON had wanted DANTE dead; he would be. So would SONNY.)

Idk how some of ya'll don't understand how high stress situations create emotional rollercoasters. Dante didn't suffer a booboo. He was shot, and Sam faces the possibility that the man she loves may not wake up. She isn't thinking clearly because she's in fight or flight right now.
I'm so tired of the constant vilification of Carly and Jason's relationship in recent years. Sonny never had a problem with it because he understood it on some level, yet when he got his memories back, it suddenly became a problem due to the writers who couldn't care less about accurate characterization.
Quite frankly, Jason and Carly's relationship is one of the only things the writers have consistently gotten right, yet they're always trying to put an axe through it by making it seem like a bad thing or by turning it into something it's not. These writers clearly don’t understand their relationship. Please watch the old footage of their relationship to have an understanding of their foundation.
Their loyalty to each other is justified. Unlike certain women on the show who have magically gotten a pass for all their wrongdoings, Carly was the town pariah and hated for years. Her only friend was Jason. Jason had her back even when she was wrong, even when she lost her mind, even when he disagreed with her, and even when everyone warned him against being her friend. Carly allowed Jason to be himself during a time when everyone was telling him who he needed to be. She gave him the space to discover himself and wholeheartedly believed in him. Of course, she knows him, and he knows her because they’ve had each other’s back for decades.
Carly and Jason are not meant to be lovers. Their bond surpasses that need. The story of friendship can be as powerful as any other type of love story, and I'll be pissed if they try changing their dynamic again. They offer each other something that very few people get in life, and that’s full acceptance. However, because they fully accept each other, being lovers would only harm that bond because they would then need different things from each other, things they might not be able to provide to each other as lovers.
Writers, please don’t destroy this powerful example of friendship for the sake of rattling things up for the audience. I know you thrive on the hate/love relationship from audiences, but y’all need to have some respect for the history of the characters and respect for the people who’ve been watching and supporting for decades.
I agree with everything you said. It’s like you read my mind, lol. Love Jarly as Besties… I really hope the writers find a cute way to curve this relationship “ thing” and keep them as friends while pairing them with secure and compatible mates( new people with fresh insight)
It actually made sense when sonny had a problem with it though. The only reason why sonny was ok with Carly and Jason's whole relationship/friendship, is because he knew it was never gonna go anywhere. That jason would never be with Carly in a romantic way, regardless of how much Carly "loved" jason. He knew that jason would never be with Carly romantically, especially when Sonny was in the picture.
Sonny started to have a problem with Jason and Carly when he realized they actually started to act on feelings for each other. He realized jason and carlys marriage meant more to them than just a business arrangement that they had to go through. That's when he had a problem with it. He never thought jason would act on those feelings for carly or be with her in that way ever again. Even when jason stepped back and let carly try to go back to sonny, Sonny knew that carly and Jason's feelings for each other weren't just gonna go away just like that. Especially, because at the time, he felt the same way about Nina.
Of course, Carly "allowed" Jason to be himself because she didn't know Jason Quartermaine... Guaranteed, if Jason Morgan came back and didn't remember who she was and turned his back on her because she was needing him to be Jason Morgan again, she wouldn't take too kindly to that...
@@rachybaby72 Regardless of the reason, she gave him something he needed. And, there are people who didn't know Jason prior to the accident who tried to change him. Every woman he's been with, except for (maybe) Sam, liked the idea of him more than the reality, and worked to make him something he wasn't.
And to be honest, I actually think if Jason lost his memory Carly would be devasted, but she would accept it. We got a glimpse of this when Billy Miller played Jason. BM's Jason was so different, and when he didn't behave the same way as Jason did previously, Carly accepted the changes and supported his decisions.

I may be wrong, but I think this is still the old writers story arc. The old head writers, Chris and Dan, are still listed in the opening credits along with additional writers. I would think once the new head writers storylines air, we will see their names listed first. The fact that Sonny and Sam are being written out of character also leads me to believe this the old writers. Last week started out so great, but this week has been uneventful so far.
Sam and the others are becoming a joke. When they need Jason they well be going crying for help. But when they think there so goody goody. They act like there so superior then Jason..
I really can't believe that Sonny or Sam would even think that Jason would shoot at Sonny or that he shot Donte. They are completely losing it.

Jagger is an FBI agent who specializes in the mob. That’s how he would’ve gotten the Jason Q to Jason M story. It would’ve been part of the background on Sonny’s organization.

Tbf it would be realistic if Sam had some residual resentment toward Jason. Even when they were married, he constantly prioritized other people & obligations. Although one could argue that she knew who she was marrying. But it's not just Sam as Jason never really bothered much with his bio sons either, and definitely never treated them on the level of Michael. I mean you could see the glaring difference in his reunion with Danny vs Michael.

Whatever negative feelings she has toward Jason, she should also keep in mind that at the end of the day that's still Danny's father...and Danny needs the opportunity to form his own opinions about him. If Sam continues to insist that Danny not see Jason, it will hurt her relationship with her son. We all know Jason will respect her wishes, but Danny will never understand and will later blame her.
In Jason's defense as to why his reunion with Michael was warmer... it's because Jason is not delusional about his absence in his children's life. He's not a Nina-type who thinks just because he's their biological father that they owe him a relationship. I think he maintains a certain boundary because he doesn't want to be presumptious about how they may or may not feel about him. He's actually respecting where they're at with all this.
@@QueenSoap I think her reaction was actually realistic. At the time, she didn't know if her partner would ever wake up again. Her son is acting out. She just found out her ex-husband is back out of the blue. Her mind is all over the place. It can't be a completely smooth return w/o some drama, which Sam/Sonny are providing. I do agree with you that Danny and Sam will have issues if she intervenes with his relationship w/ Jason. Danny gives Jason & Sam a story as it looks like he may be headed down a dark path, especially if he is starting to experiment w/ substances. This will also give Jake some good story too, as he is the only one aware of Danny's troubles(as far as I know?)

I actually like Sam/Dante. They're cute, and you can tell the Italians(Zamprongna, Monaco, Locicero) love working together. I never felt that he had a connection with Emme. If they brought Lulu back they need to recast, and chem test with Dominic.
Sonny and Sam are all up in their feelings because of Jason and Carly's bond. They are "Ride-Or-Die" for one another. Always have been-- Always will be.

I'm taking everything she says with a grain of salt for right now. She's just as loyal to Jason as Carly when she really needs to be tis why they always end up together. I think Kelly didn't like how the Miller situation was handled. Tbf, they did do him dirty. I felt the same way about Gina Tognoni, who had just won an Emmy for y&r, and then she was booted for Stafford. It's business, but both circumstances were harsh. There is also no quesion that Monaco & Miller had chemistry. And I would guess that she liked that Miller's version of Jason/Drew put Sam first. It probably gets tiring to play 2nd fiddle for years to the big 3(Jason/Carly/Sonny)..

& within the dialogue, I also think Sam has some residual resentment because Jason really has been a pizz poor father to Danny (& Jake too). I've noticed this show never calls the character out for this, but has no problem doing it with every other character's parenting skills. You could see the GLARING difference in his reunion with Danny vs Michael.

I swear Sam is really becoming a judgmental annoying hypocritical character that I don’t recognize anymore. For God sakes how long has she known Jason? They share a long history and went through so much together. Then she dumps him when she can’t handle his lifestyle anymore but was willing to risk her parole by sneaking around to see Jason. Like seriously you knew who Jason was when you met him all those years ago. What really disgusts me is when Jason was thought to be “dead” the second time around she is quick to jump into bed with Dante the very same day. Not only was that gross but disrespectful as hell. I am sick of Sam and anything that comes out her mouth like honey you know Jason and how he operates. He has no beef with Dante anymore. He wouldn’t shoot a cop. JaSam broke up ages ago and she moved on. She doesn't have to gaf anymore, other than about his pizz poor relationship with Danny. Her man is in a coma and in her mind, there is a possibility that he may not wake up. Emotions run high during stressful situations, so she isn't thinking logically about Jason's actions. When the storm passes, she'll see the big picture.

Sam was never Jason's number 1 and that was the problem with their whole relationship. Their breakup was inevitable, I'm just surprised it took so long. The writers wanted a change, and I believe the actors wanted a change too. You can tell DZ grew tired of Lante, and KeMo was annoyed that gh did Miller dirty(which they did tbf even though he didn't the role of Jason). Idk I like Dante/Sam, and you can tell the Italians are enjoying their scenes together (Mansi, Monaco, Zamprogna, Locicero).
