    Thanks for doing the direct side-by-side comparison! Huge improvements (to my ears) going to the UC2.

    i got my opencomm2 from you guys and it works great! i love the mic mute button and NO MUTE REMINDER TONE!! a wonderful headset, and they also got rid of the double tap to redial which was never useful on the opencomm1! i'm still getting used to the multifunction button being on the left though! kinda sucks that i don't really wanna use any of my other great headsets lol

      Maybe it can come through firmware update, if you request it

    Seems better - still no one removes the noise entirely

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Correct. No headset I’ve tested blocks 100% of noise. Many do a good job.

    Have you experienced issue with other end of the call hearing the "Mute Off" prompt when unmuting with the physical button? Recently been told that it can be faintly heard by others on a call...

      Hi Patrick, I have not heard this. I will share with Shokz team to see if they have heard of this and have any troubleshooting. Thanks for watching and submitting this!

    How would it sound if there were people talking in the background?

      Great question! Check out this recently posted video where I test 15 headsets including the Shokz Opencomm2 UC in a very noisy environment with people all around. th-cam.com/video/f214RWPwpxY/w-d-xo.html

    I’d like to see a mic comparison between the Shokz Opencomm2 UC vs. the Shokz Open Fit

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Steve! Thank you for watching! The Opencomm2 UC and Open Fit fall into two different business units of Shokz. The Opencomm2 UC is part of their NEW Enterprise (Business) unit while the Open Fit is part of their established Consumer unit. I have asked for a pair of the Open Fit but was told what I shared with you meaning. I'll see if I can get my hands on a set but based on a mic test I performed using the Open Run, it wasn't even close. The mic performance from the Opencomm2 UC was superior to the Open Run.

    Sounds like a big improvement on lower decibels but not so much on louder/high pitch noises

    Thanks for doing this test. I had problems with the buttons on my opencomm gen 1 after a few weeks and sent it back. Can you see or feel any improvement on this part of the product?

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      YES! Adding a dedicated mute button on the mic boom has been a huge help! Overall the Opencomm2 UC are much easier to use.

    For these tests, were you using the headsets with the UC Bluetooth adapters Shokz provides, or directly paired via Bluetooth (no adapter)?

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi @wildthingmoishe! I’m using the included Shokz UC Bluetooth dongle for these tests. Thanks for watching and supporting our channel!

      @@CallOneInc Thanks for the reply! I use the Shokz OpenComm UC but found the range on the Shokz Loop 110 adapter to be lacking. I upgraded to a Jabra Link 380c MS - USB-C - Bluetooth Adapter and have tripled my range with the OpenComm UC using it instead (your mileage may vary.) Free video idea for you if you ever wanted to upsell the Jabra Adapter for use with other headsets. It's expensive but worth it in my experience.

      @@lunacy8m I'll have to test it. I'm going on a Work From Anywhere Tour and may test this in the corn fields of Ohio.

    hi, is there any difference in terms of volume both listening 👂 and microphone between 1&2? I have v1 and it is very good but the mic volume is lower than any standard earbuds, which is noticeable on the other end. Wonder if they changed that in v2.
    Also with listening sometimes it would be nice to just have 10-15% more volume. Thanks

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi No One! There should be a difference in the microphone. Per Shokz they "Optimized the Microphone Performance." Several of our team members use the Shokz Opencomm2 UC as their daily driver and love it. I'll have to ask Shokz for specs on the volume output between the two. Based on my experience, it's loud enough except for when you are in extremely noisy conditions. Here's a more recent mic test that compares 15 headsets including the Opencomm2 UC: th-cam.com/video/f214RWPwpxY/w-d-xo.html

      @@CallOneInc thanks, I watched that video previously. It’s not that v1 is not loud enough, but in a context of conference the volume is slightly lower then regular earbuds like AirPods or EarPods. However the noise isolation is excellent and they serve very well in noisy environments. Been using them for 3 years daily now. I’d deeply appreciate the data on output levels between the two. Great videos by the way I keep coming every couple of months and watch your reviews!

      @@NoOne-yb8wj I truly appreciate your support! I'll share Shokz's response as soon as I get it!

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Response from Shokz: To answer your question, there is no difference for the minimum/maximum volume of OpenComm2 and OpenComm. But there is a slight discrepancy. The total volume level for headsets is divided into 15 parts for both OpenComm and OpenComm2. But each time you press the volume+/-, the increase/decrease of volume between OpenComm and OpenComm2 is different.
      Hope this helps.
