You will all be missed. A lot.

There was one where both Blanche and Dorothy hid there faces from the camera so they wouldn't be caught laughing especially Blanche reaction when Rose was telling a St. Olaf story about a wife who accidently ran over her husband killing him. The wife was not aware of what she done until she discovered bits and pieces of her husband. Blanche and Dorothy's reaction to Rose story had me in stitches. 😂😂😂
How did Betty deliver these lines without breaking character laughing? Truly talented!

Her stories were like a train wreck. They were horrible, but you just had to see them, or rather hear them, to the end.

Rose always managed to actually get them intrigued in her stories cause they actually started out good then they would always go haywire.

Though they may be greatly annoyed, I love how Dorothy actually used one of Rose's St. Olaf stories to try and get through Mary's father in the episode "Mary Had a Little Lamb". Her shame when the others found out about it though was hilarious. 😂

So do I! Back in the 80ies and 90ies I grew up in a really safe and secure bubble and the girls belonged to it! How I'd love to go back in time to be about 8 yo again, watching the Golden Girls till my stomach hurts from laughing.... Many thanks from Austria 🇦🇹

I lived in Omaha for 5 years. They really captured midwestern culture with Rose's characters. They really are that naive and child-like.
All of the actresses on The Golden Girls was professionals! Absolutely one of the best sitcoms ever!
You can tell that there are times when Rue McClanahan and Bea Arthur are trying not to laugh in the middle of the story.

Yes, this is the legendary scene when they came damn close to breaking character but the director decided not to reshoot and just put the whole thing into the episode.

I had forgotten just how silly Betty White was, her comedic timing, the deadpan looks she gave & the way she delivered her lines. I was cracking up laughing at her tears were rolling down my eyes. My favorite Rose stories: Cousin Ingmar who did bird imitations, Eddie the aqua midget, Ingmar Von Bergman (St. Olaf’s meanest ventriloquist), Mean Old Lady Hickenlooper, Rose’s grandmother with goldfish in her mouth that swam from cheek to cheek…😂

The Golden Girls was a beautifully scripted show and acted to perfection, it will never be bettered. I loved Rose's stories so much and she'll be sadly missed. All the characters were brilliant and I must also mention Dorothy's ex Stan , who was equally as funny , you couldn't ask for four funnier flat mates.

Rose is one of the purest characters on TV, I loved when she stood up to Blanche for taking advantage of her
And when she told off that absolute scum Dr Norgan (one of the most vile Golden Girls characters)
And when she told Frieda Claxton to “drop dead” Rose’s kindness and purity made the moments when she stands up for herself hit so much harder, always satisfying/hilarious
