    Thank you so much. You just unlocked a vast door for designing.

    I thought you only apply section stiffness modifiers under seismic design?

    In the AutoCAD reinforcement detail of the same ramp slab, a long section has been shown. There are no intermediate beams shown so in that case the shorter reinforcement must be placed in the lowermost bottom of the slab but in the drawing, the longitudinal or distribution steel is shown first and the main reinforcement at the top on distribution. Is it correct? Can someone explain or guide me?

    how to check one way shear and two way shear values in slab in etabs ?

      I have made many slab design videos . U can see them here in this playlist search for flat plate slab design video which tells how to check punching shewr using etabs and also excel sheet for cross check : th-cam.com/play/PLDyhMW3kzPDAOR0UYuJaFNxv0e3cPlcUH.html

    sir stair is a one way slab too, bt we provide main bars longitudinal direction, and temperature srinkage on short direction bt in hear we r doing opposite why sir?

    Excellent and wonderfully explained. But one thing, you have calculated the reinf using stress considering it as moment. Why?

    What about the reinforcement of the beam?

    I think M11 or M22 should have been used instead of stresses.

    • @EngineeringLearningPlatform
      @EngineeringLearningPlatform  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      M11 and M22 doesn't govern .

      But S11 and S22 has units Kip/ft^2 .. How they fit in ur formula?

      @@EngineeringLearningPlatform what formula you are using for calculation of rebar, Mu/4d where Mu is moment where as you are putting stress value.

    Sir Area of steel (As)=(Mu/4*d)
    4 is representing what sir?
    is 4 is represting lenght 4' please explain Sir
    thnx in advance

      For fy 60ksi there is pre calculated factor 4d . Just divide Max moment by 4d u wil get As reqd.,

    i have followed your tutorial through out but yet my result is different as i am getting maximum positive moment of 171 ... otherwise i have applied the load and steps as you have done
