Concepts. The Reclaimers. A set of environmental scientists and activists, set about trying to ready the surface for habitation. Both sides of thr war tolerate them, mainly because they're one of the few people who can actually provide enough food and sustenance to keep their troops and citizens fed. There are two notable groups being the Environmentalists and the Conservatives. One working in each faction. Now, the Environmentalists are set about restoring the damaged surface of the planet for re-habitation. While the Conservatives are set about ensuring to improve life belowground. The key this, is that depsite being on opposite sides of the war, they managed to commincate infromation across the lands. The methods are highly secretive. The Conservatives have actually deisgned a kind of mushroom that is full of nutrients, these mushooms can grow very fast with no light. They actually make a siginificant part of the diet of most soilders, who call it "Mush-Meat" due to it having a meaty flavor when cooked. When the soilders eat the mushrooms, they tend to get some of the spores on their clothes and gear. When they are killed, the mushrooms are quick to grow, feasting on the dead bodies. Morticans will oftentimes collect these mushrooms and use them to trade with other soilders. Or send them home to their starving families. And even those these mushrooms are a marvel of science, they are not enough to fully stop the slow the famine. The Environmentalists meanwhile have managed to establish a port-town, meaning supplies can be imported in from other countries. This includes food, as well as other supplies. But the Empire and Nation both lack items of value to be traded. And the contested nature of the port has lead to there being instability in the ground. As structures may fall into the earth. On a better note, the Environmentalists have been monitoring the "Smog" a toxic cloud that is the one thing responsible for the surface being uninhabitable. They are certain that it is likely isolated ot just Europe, but they can't tell for how long. They are trying to develop crops that can resist the Smog, but it is showing little promise compared to the Conservatives' "Mush-Meat."

They have said that they will start coming out in November of this year
