Wrong explanation......the dia of bar depends upto the area of cross-section of steel required during design....suppose if design cross sectional area of steel is 900 sq mm. Then one can place 2-25 mm bar or 3-20 mm. Both are correct as long the cross sectional area satisfies.....
Bhai 2 baatein- 1) beam mein jab steel binding hoti hai to ek layer mein jyada see jyada 3 bar Leni chaiye Baki ki Jo bar hai uske liye upar ya niche second layer bannani chaiye as per position of bar( in case of 9" beam). Aur agar 9" se bada hai beam to ye khayal rakho ki vo do baar ke beech mein hume minimum 25-30 mm ka gap milra hai. 2) Doosri baat aisi hai ki jahan pe humara beam end hota Matlab column Tak AA ke , vaha pe bar straight nai chode jate, Anchorage length hoti hai vaha, Jo ki 60 se 70 d ke beech mein hoti hai Matlab 20 mm bar ke liye vo 1200 se 1400 mm Tak hoti hai. Matlab jaha pe beam khatam hota hai column Tak AA ke vaha se aage 1400 mm length bar ka column mein embed hona chaiye. I hope you have understood, agar nahi samji koi baat to please batao mujhe I will explain in detail.
Extra bar include kro aur beam k End me 90 degree L diya karo aur bar ki join thik se karo. Main bar 20mm thik hain par extra bar 25 mm do bottom me 20mm de sakte Ho.khayal rahe bottom ka extra top k extra bar se minimum 300mm cross karna joruri hain.

Absolutely right bro the lapp should be provided in middle section of beam in compression zone and tension zone the Lapp should be provided at the end of beam portion .
There is having a beam lap in column it should be provided the bars middle or 3/4 in length . Must staggered lap top 2 bars near 3/4 bottom and opposite bottom bars
there is no need to provide extra reinforcemnt on above compression zone 2 bars are enough, 3 are provided on top if wall is to be constructed over beam
This is very Risky. I can't understand your language but it seems that you're not focusing the mistakes in the reinforcement detailing. No Code ever allows to splice or lap the top bars near the columns because of the high negative moment likewise never splice bottom bars at the middle span because of the maximum positive moment. You should also consider the column beam junctions
Faisal Rahim I am a steel fixer from the uk 🇬🇧and what I can see is that there is no Links on splice area over the column Area . The beam is not contains in side of a link So making it weak in this Area . But all the beam ends are in a line splice together over columns making the columns bar the weight of the beam and if a beam breaks its back it could pull out over the column . It would be Better in my mind to stagger the bar over the columns over this Length. Plus there is no L bar coming out of the wall at the end allowing the beam to come out of the wall with on lap or splice to take the strain of the beam.
Hi Sir. Hope the middle column will be having huge amount of hogging moment and lapping at the Column location shall be avoided exclusively for Continuous beams. Also for Stirupps 135 degree bend hooks shall be provided

it is very risky to take such type of suggestion ..from non technical person ..or..site supervisor...however size of bar tentavillynot depends on span..it is calculated area of steel..in..asc or ast.....such large span must be.designed..by..structuralengineer.
Hi Sir , Ours is g+2 ,There were 11pillars in ground floor due to plan change in first floor center pillar was removed in first floor plan so distance between two column became 20 feet so builder added beam which now is 20 feet long i am bothered weather it sustain load

How would you lay slab reinforcement.. whats the covering of your slab... why your vertical stirrups ends dsnt bends 45 degree inside.... why there is no development length of bars at beams end.. where is your crank bars.. there is 4 bars at bottom, how its going to pass 20mm thick coarse aggrigates between them. Why you mixed english with your language ... Who design this beam.. Is the building still standing...?
sai raj And There is no links on the Splice area of beam that should be enclose . The Bars are not restrained in this area so making it weak over column. And I would have at least had 1. 12mm lace bar on each side of the beam . I am a steel fixer for over 40 year and have a Citizens Guild in fixing what you call rings we call them links in England 🇬🇧 But your Right about the L bar missing at either end of the beam . But not Needed if beams cross each other .
First to do load coming over the beam. Recommended grade of CC & steel to check whether the beam is above NA or below NA there are so many factors to check
There is no links continuing on the splice area ? Beam could burst or Split at that point . I would have at lease 1. 12mm side laces on each side of the beam and that would stagger the column area as well . I am a Steel fixer with 40 year of Experience and have a citizens guild in this work 🇬🇧

The span is same as mine.I have used total seven rods where two 20mm and one 16 mm on top and two 20 mm and two 16 mm in the bottom.stirrup is 10 mm..is it ok?

There is no Anchorage length provided to the ,beam to column junction.
why are you beam rod provided at the outside of the column? It should be insert into the column by crank.

sai raj And There is no links on the Splice area of beam that should be enclose . The Bars are not restrained in this area so making it weak over column. And I would have at least had 1. 12mm lace bar on each side of the beam . I am a steel fixer for over 40 year and have a Citizens Guild in fixing what you call rings we call them links in England 🇬🇧 But your Right about the L bar missing at either end of the beam . But not Needed if beams cross each other .
Does 2 bars of16 mm top and 3 bars of 16 mm down are enoigh for24 ft span beam

First to do load coming over the beam. Recommended grade of CC & steel to check whether the beam is above NA or below NA there are so many factors to check

Overlapping is not correct. Hooks are not properly bend. Top bars should be overlapped at mid span while Bottom bars to be lapped at column junctions.
