Thanks so much! Yours is the ONLY video I have seen that mentions both clips!. Before I saw this, I wasted an hour trying to get the housing out, during which time the service station (garage) I was at, closed for the night. The failure to mention these clips in the owner's manual is idiotic. Headlamps replacement should be quick and easy to do for convenience and safety. Ford screwed up badly with this [that is, with the instructions. The job itself is quick IF you know how].
Good job, I was successful with right headlight (passenger) but cant get out left one so searching online. Probably will try tomorrow with more power. Have 2008 mk II, 1.8.
I have 07focus. My driver side headlight need to replace. I opened 2 screw but it does not come out. One more bolt on the side. How I take that bolt out ,no idea.
They are just called LEDriving I think. Heres a link: www.osram.com/ecat/LEDriving%20HL%20H7%20Gen2-LEDriving%20HL-LED%20high%20and%20low%20beam%20lamps-Car%20lighting-Automotive/com/en/GPS01_3143582/ZMP_4059095/
I just clicked the link and ot states that they are not legal on public roads in any exterior application.. apparently making insurance and licence void 😲
@@carlscars2687 2006 US version has 3 bolts and the third one on the fender side requires you to take off the front cowl and the driver's side airbox to get to it. The US version has no clips and no cover on the back. It still uses the ring to replace the headlight lamp. Thanks for your video.
Those headlights are not for LED bulbs, they blind the eyes of oncoming and front drivers. These bulbs are for headlights with lenses, what you have done is very wrong. When you see the police, they will have you remove the lamps.
Not entirely true. Some places, they are illegal to use. But Osram LEDriving is designed for glow bulb replacement. Besides, he already points out you need to check you local regulations. Unless you are trying to say the entire world has the same traffic laws.
it's a nightmare. The actual procedure of changing the bulb wasn't the issue for me, it was getting to it to change it. I tried to go from inside the cabin of car under steering wheel and I couldn't get my hand through the hole to pull bulb out. I forget who was eventually able to do it but I couldn't afford to pay shop to do it and I remember it was an ordeal.
Replacing my old ones Monday, other videos is taking the bumper off. WORK SMART NOT HARD, thank you 11/30/24

Glad to hear that I could be of help! 😊
Brilliant video, thanks. Spent 25 mins swearing and getting nowhere. Watched this and had both indicator bulbs changed in about 6 .
Glad it helped! :)
Great video ! Wouldn't have known about those clips. Also, I like your tip to replace both headlights for consistency - thanks
Thank you! Much obliged. 🙂
I still do not see the clips
You couldn’t see me applaud this video, very informative and easy to follow
Glad it was helpful!
I have a 2003 CL Mk I. Seeing how easy YOUR lamps come out and go back in makes me want to tear up.
Yeah, each car has its quirks, thats for sure.
Great Video. Very informative and Helpful.

Amazing how differently they make them for Europe then the U.S.
Anyone tried installing a led strip where blinkers are?

Sorry for such a late answer. I've had to deal with some life stuff. But if yours is the same as mine, there should be only one torx and the clips.
No 10mm bolts like on mine and have to remove bumper cover.
i cant find the clip closest to the side of the car
I have problem with my headlights sudenly both dont work, maybe you can help my??

Hello Carl can you please tell me if you know is replacing a 2009 Focus head light the same process?
Sorry, I wouldnt know.
Could you please specify the exact type of Osram LEDs that you used? Loved to make that upgrade myself :)

Only in some markets. That's why I put a caption in the vid informing viewers to make sure they are aware of local laws and regulation.
Is this a US Ford Focus or an overseas one? I'm in the US and I do not have that orange stripe down the outside edge.
This is a euro spec Focus. I really couldn't tell you if theres much difference. Never laid my hands on a US spec one.

Don't the LED's cause dash errors?
No, at least not with this combo of Osram LED's and this model year / spec Focus.

Awfully fucking complicated to change a lightbulb
