Congratulations! So wonderful when you find 'the one'! Moral of the story is definitely to be open minded when considering areas in London. Like you, I was focussed on west London at first (romanticised image of myself walking to a bakery in Kensington or Chelsea or Notting Hill, coffee in hand) - the reality is your budget will only afford the crappiest places in west. When I opened my search up, and looked East, I realised I was able to afford a HOUSE for the same amount. I'm moving in the next 4 months, I hope - pray for meeee!
Love your content. Has been of so much help. Can you share your thoughts about east or west London for a student? Which would you recommend the best? Thank you
thank you sosososo much! I put so much love into these videos - so happy you found them helpful 💓 I would say east! it can be very fun & not so expensive as west! I feel like East London is just really so chilled & laid back & if that’s your vibe - there is no better place. try searching smth close to victoria park / shore ditch
I used Rightmove to find a place / I don’t really think agency is important ( the main thing for you to find the right place for the right price ) I dealt with 15+ agencies and found them all similar

Do you recommend a specific website for hunting?
I mostly used Rightmove / Zoopla / Openrent, and if you are renting a room - spareroom
