I've been trying to do a French Fishtail Braid for soo long but it'd always look like a messy regular fishtail braid. I didn't know you had to start from way on top of the scalp. Thank you!!
Your tutorial was very easy to follow. My daughter asked me to do this style on her again. After being out of beauty school for a few years, I needed a refresher LOL. I tried it but it wasn’t secure and tight enough but the fish tail was definitely on point! Thank you!

You need to practice more and you get better practice makes perfect I was first like that then now I’m getting abit better

Yes. Just cross the strands under instead of over. It takes a while before you can see the final fishtail pattern so don't give up too soon.
