@@BEAVERDIY Awesome, update on my brew, my pineapple beer and apple cider now been sitting for 5 days, had a few glasses out of it tonight to test, tastes pretty good already, will decant it all most likely tomorrow or Saturday. Will most likely try a banana, and the lemon 1 also soon.
@@BEAVERDIY Had more pineapple beer last night. Kicks like a mule! No headache at least this morning. Will give it another go tonight, drinking slower and mixing it with lemonade. Bottled most of it now and will maybe just add like 1 teaspoon of sugar to pressurise in my 2 litre soda containers. Edit- Spelling
Hi Solo, Hope you had an amazing new year and end to 2020, couple of things with a tomato-based wash, first make sure you have no preservatives in the paste, the yeast will over power it but will add some funky flavors, second remember to allow your wash to clear if any yeast makes it into the boiler your flavor will go bad real quick. And lastly because this is a wash designed to be neutral you have to distill at a high ABV to strip flavor. Hope this helps
I have just built my first still, all good until I ran my 20LT Birdwatchers sugar wash. My first 250 ml, I discarded. My first Lt was 60% proof by the time I reach 3Lt it was down to 50% proof. I then shut my still down, feeling very disappointed. I followed your video to to letter. Do you have any pointers, I would much appreciate any help you can give me.
Hi John, Sounds like a pretty good run I assume you are running a pot still, I will suggest you do a strip and then spirit, with Birdwatchers you want high proof with little to no flavour. Cheers
started a batch with dry bakers yeast yesterday, went off almost immediately, kicked out the airlock insert over night, today it's bubbling away much slower, maybe it's finished tomorrow. Don't use a heater, so it's cooling down with time. After watching different videos, reading comments and forums I'm still a bit confused by the term "tomato paste". I used "concentrate", so partly dehydrated, 2 or 3:1 ratio. Or is it meant to be just "tomato puree", like minced and canned tomatoes? Any experiences with differences?
Hi, I have done this 3 times. But now this wash never famented.. It almost looks like I never put any yeast in... Can you tell me can this be saved, or is it just a throw away.
Thanks for the video. Good info! PLEASE turn off the bright light in the back corner. It will make it much easier enjoy your videos. A spotlight facing the camera never works well.
❤ tuyệt nha bạn.
Another great video, I won't be making this, but interesting none the less! Thank you!
Thanks Dyna, next beer video coming soon.

Thank you let me know if you need link
Is the water mixed with the yeast part of the20 litres and how much do you use
Greetings from Venezuela, for the recipe, it is tomato paste or it can be ketchup (tomato sauce).
Hi Jesus,
Check for preservatives, most Ketchup also has a lot of vinegar, might work but I wont risk it,
@@BEAVERDIY Ok, thanks for the warning. By the way I built the alcohol meter and it looks great. Thanks you are a teacher
Here in Australia, we have white, raw(which I think U call brown),light brown and dark brown (which I think ur treacle sugar)

Shouldn't matter as long as it's preservative free!

hi :) ,what is the purpose of epsom salt in the recipe ?
The epsom softens the water to assist yeast in doing their job.
Did you made the video how you distilled it ?
Yes Used it in the Gin Video
Can you use gelatine to clean it up and how much on 25l ?
One 15g packet is perfect
