Few takeaways from silver Malzahar enjoyer - in pushing before recall scenario remember to spam Q in the air to spawn more Voidlings with W. You can 100 to 0 towers after getting a kill if you have one item.
Also E 80% AP scaling can be considered something like 150% realistically (theoretically 240% if you perfectly refresh).
Also R have 1 more AP scaling.
That said - from my testing, Void Staff seems to outscale Rabadons around 60 MR mark against 2k health enemy. Everything tankier - Void > Rabadons.
There's also really frustating thing when you push a lane with team. I feel like putting E on minion gives them a debuff or something that makes your teammates absolutely ignore that minion.
So if you play with Malzahar in your team - please focus those infected. First - you give your teammate some mana back, secondly and most importantly - you have opporunity for enemy to get hit with stray jump if someone doesnt pay much attention.

@@nou3838 Back in season 1 Malz was a higher skill ceiling champ. You actually had to know how to combo to pull off the highest dps cause ult was not 2 abilities in one and you had to be quick vs the op assassins since u didnt have a shield to keep u safe. Not to mention u had to count the voidling counter since it was his passive back then and a lot more technical stuff.
Main Malzahar for 7-8 season now. Mejis on Malzahar is cringe af. Demonic embrace should have been third item. Don't understand the Seraphs buy because after lost chapter is bought and with E giving back mana, there is no problems with mana on Malzahar.
From personal expirance I like W max second. Seems idiotic but during the ult those three little shits do some dmg and help out with pushing of turret. Especially during cannon wave. And also wave push.
One thing about mejis you can see it's a bad buy if morde is perma ulting you.
Everyone has their own style of playing the champ.

As a support main I am triggered by the Naut casually coming mid at min 10 and 'helping' to damage the turret. He didn't even do anything to deserve that gold. Many mid laners would have spam pinged or threatened to report him.
Like reporting actually does something.

@@realitybeyond6357 he took half of gold from the plates for no reason. Carries prefer to get all of that especially in situations like this where King was successfully pushing on his own.

Even if malzahar does not have too much of an enjoyable gameplay too watch, i enjoyed it a lot thanks to your commentary, it's so chill and fun
As a Malz player, watch out for opening your shove with W when you're already at 2 stacks, which you overwrote one stack by going E first a few times, That allows for you to perma 2 stack voidlings for a disgusting pushing power
Btw .. something ive done lately with malz to max up assists most games ..
Wondering youre opinion if redemption is good for selfheal+ 10 max hp dmg... and also to just wander of halfway to other lane to heal 1-2 teammates if they in fights.. Ive taken other team champs down when they recall in bushes recalling(even to delay recall or have em move to re do it gives chance to kill em or do something on map)
what is your opinion on worth.. Can also be used after death until get back to play.. so it can be used if died their base and fights still ongoing or break their early tries at barons or elders..
But im noob at macro.. still learning from long break

as you said, that malzarhar has so many viable items i personally never build seraphs... i sometimes buy the tear to bypass mana problems in laning phase as junglers often times dont give blue.... but i sell it as soon as i go to 3 items.... seraph is such a weak item imo and rylais already takes up one more slot compared to other mages... with seraph u have only 2 spots left for pen, a defensive item (zhonyas is so powerful on malz) and rabadon....
and the manaproblems you might face get less and less as you level up, because you get way more base mana per lvl compared to the rise in manacosts of your skills... also you only need e q for waveclear in mid to lategame....
Use periods bro. And seraphs is way different in the preseason.
mal has always been my favorite mid. but i left him for swain because he just doesn't scale too well late game.

Nowdays almost every mid has an aoe skill to kill all the voidling in 1 shot, so Malzahar is getting useless with the time.
ghost for malz is so valuable in late. But it's hard for early without tp.
I mean, almost 30 minutes in the game, a 2 item jinx is just not gonna cut it, no matter how you look at it.

im malz main with 300k points and i dont think malz is strong. everytime i play against same elo or higher i have no chance to do anything. my lane opponent oneshots my W, dodges all Q's and outtrade me easily... im 24/7 under turret and if i leave my turret enemy supp, jungler and/or toplaner ganks me. im super immobile and free kill. i think malzahar is only in lower elo a strong pick :/

When invding or prepped invaded 1st kills with malz is easiest ever with good teams... also sooo easy to int .. depends on position..
Since the shield passive lvl 1 if it waste theirs to get ability on cdwait til low hp other team in group and the E is like a free ignite lvl 1 so not have to waste it lvl 1..

Ya hes good till u face a decent assassin (especially katarina) or trist mid, a xerath, a good fizz , anyone who knows to buy QS. Tons of champs just 3 shot you and one item destroys your whole kit lmao.
If you die vs them pre 6 then you are just playing bad. The qss is indeed an issue but at same time it's a nerf to them too

Hi I am new to Malzahar, can you comment on Voidlings to me it seems like you get 3 viodlings if you Q+E+W ? But if you E+W+Q you only gets two ?
Each time you use an ability with Malz, you get 1 stack of voidlings W. With 0 stacks, it summons 1 void, 1 stack, 2 voids, 2 stacks, 3 voids.
What about Banshee if stacks won't work out?
I don't think it makes much sense with his passive.

plenty "meta" picks can utterly demolish malz early pushing abilities. most of them wipe out his W before they can even take 1 minion, and E alone is useless early for pushing. most of the time.

Malz is NOT a viable split push champ. If you are split pushing while playing a championship designed for team fights you're trolling.
Take TP and if the one in sidelane doesn't have you can force a 5v4 situation. Why not if opportunity is there
@Teach because that's not how Malz should be played. It's one thing to be in a side lane just to push the wave out. But if you're split pushing on him and your team loses a team fight at baron or dragon that's your fault.

@Teach like I said, it's ok to push a side lane as malz especially if it's to get prior for an objective. But malz isn't designed to actually split push. That's the point you're not getting.
