thank you for another great video. These places are all on my bucket list. I've heard reports of thieves crossing the border from Namibia and robbing campers at Ihaha, have you heard of any such stories? Do you know how is the situation nowadays? greetings from Brazil
Hi, I'm aware that there have been a few incidents. We asked about that at the camp reception and they claimed that there has not been an incident for some time as the Botswana Defence Force have stepped up patrols. I think there will always be some risk as the campsite is right on the border and the Namibian side is not a protected area. Our risk assessment was that the risk is not high enough to deter us. We exercised some basic caution by not leaving valuables out at night.
Brings back fond memories. Last trip to Botswana was 2015.... 🙂
So, then it must be time to go back...

HI, I used Google translate to translate your message so I'm not sure how accurate the translation is... Glad you enjoyed the video.
Loved it. Nowhere like the Chobe River.
I agree. Also there is nowhere like Kgalagadi, nowhere like Central Kalahari...
Very Good Good Information
Thanks!
It's sad to see the game suffer from lack of grazing... On the other hand, the photography were excellent and it's wonderful to "tour"with you guys.
Thank you! At least in Chobe the realities of the elephant overpopulation was not as stark as in Hwange (see previous video)
