T.V is immersive we invest in the characters life and forget for one one hour about our own lives or we see our own lives which is what a good feature should do, so that we care about what happens to the characters. This lady is great, I as a feature writer I'm so scare to write a tv pilot and yet I enjoy them so much. Thanks for this WGF and Ms. Rhimes.
Thankfully, I wasn't really bothered by Winnie and Robin adding to the conversation! I saw it as three writers chatting, and thought it was quite informative given the audience (members from the Writers Guild). I found the interviewers really interested to connect with Shonda during the interview. PS: It's a shame though there aren't more of these. I was looking forward to the one with Nancy Oliver ('Lars and the Real Girl')...so hopefully that one goes up in the future! :D
The interviewers are so annoying, honestly no one cares about them, we anted to learn about Shonda and they interrupted a lot, specially the one with brown hair and jeans
I know this post was four years ago but that's what made this short-lived serious unique is that their personalities elevated the environment especially considering that this event was more private.
Shonda Rhimes is awesome. So sweet and so strong and talented. Glad she's so successful and willing to share her insights about writing.
My favorite Shonda interview of all time. She wasn't the maverick that she is now, but you could see the potential, and then she exceeded even that!

I love Shonda's creative writing! Twist and turns ---unstable situations. Scandal #

how did she write accurately about what happens in hospitals? she is pretty spot on
Wow I have to let that sink in… “I wrote the pilot in 2 or three days” 🤩 😮😮
Hi Shonda! I loved your book Year of Yes. So great. Big fan.
I would love to pitch my incredible story for a pilot. I am at the point where it’s a calling and it’s chosen me.
Why is Shonda holding that cup? lol
the interviewer's questions is not even coherent :(
Do writer's have to work all the time or don't they have time for a personal life?
she's badass, the two white ladies seem drunk
