every time i reach for the theme i always have to come back to this version. it's one of those works where you can just immediately tell how much someone cares about the subject and the craft.
I love the Vangelis backing swells starting at 0:25. If the MG2 movie released in 1983 this would be the title theme. The grating noises at 0:45 also remind me of the alert klaxon from MGS2, super cool! This is a cut above all of the other covers I've heard!
Found this on my recommended today, after Theme of Solid Snake is already so nostalgia-inducing from early 2018 for me. Hearing good remixes and covers always brings me back in the same way. The comments below really kinda nail how I feel about it too!
Amazing arrangement! My girlfriend suggested that this song was inspired by John Carpenter and that it'd be really apparent if you remade it with the right synths, and wow does that *ever* come across in this. It's a huge credit to how much you nailed the feel of the song.
I was in the studio 😌 but it wasn't much of a studio. Just me in a bedroom with a computer and a guitar. See the description for more info about the making. Thanks for the comment!
I love MGS great music but the best things come from people with big dreams and little resources. I just started my TH-cam channel and it's off to a good start. Keep going 💪
Metal gear! It can't be! All jokes and memes aside, I bet George Salonikh would LOVE to listen to this! Here's the link to his channel: www.youtube.com/@GeorgeSalonikh

I appreciate the kind words and I'm glad you enjoy it and notice the effort put into it. 🙏
Definitely sounds like if vangelis and carpenter had made this for some metal gear movie, good stuff my dude
You are correct, they were 2 of the inspirations for this. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. Both your points about Vangelis & the alert sound are correct 😎

By far the best version of this song.
Thanks 😌 I tried to keep it true to the original while adding some more professional instruments. Please share if you can.
The alert goes hard
Thanks! Glad you liked that element I added. It's sampled from MGS1 with some slight editing.
