  • In this video, we demonstrate the setup and run of a blue bowl fine gold recovery system. Running a blue bowl isn't rocket science, but has a bit of a learning curve. In this video, I try to share what I've learned using a blue bowl concentrator for the past year.

      Remember, you can run as low as 20 mesh in this thing but it will take longer to clean, Do not mix different classes however...the resulting turbulence messes up everything.

      Congrats on your purchase. Absolutely pyrite is very light weight in comparison to gold the blue bowl will easily remove a ll the pyrite.

    I was panning out my cons in a van down by the river, likely lost much fine gold and just bought a Blue Bowl.

    Can you tell me if you get the same results from sand bought online? I bought one scoop bags and sifted through three of them and got all fine gold I have to pick it out with tweezers it’s so small!
    I did get a few nuggets less than the size of a match head.

      Yes you would. Just be sure to classify first :)

    What pump are you using? I've seen the the Johnson 700 gph but, I wonder if a faster on is better

    • @GoldProspectingGear
      @GoldProspectingGear  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think faster would be better it would spin the water too strong and youd lose fine gold. It runs at like 1/4 the capacity of this pump as it is with the valve.

    I’m new to this. Can I run regular beach sand and black sand at the same time?

    • @jsmythib
      @jsmythib ปีที่แล้ว

      Why not? The specific gravity of the particles are still in effect :) You do want to rinse out any clay and organics though. They will cloud up your water.

    • @GoldProspectingGear
      @GoldProspectingGear  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes...the blue bowl will easily lift out sand material first since it is less dense. Just be sure to classify your sand first so part les you are running are similar in size

    Hello, can you tell my, why allways bowl must to by blue? Thanks if you answer!

    • @GoldProspectingGear
      @GoldProspectingGear  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Neeme Teearu I believe the blue color is intended to contrast with the yellow color of the gold, so you can see it easier. This is my theory anyway.

    • @menoksen
      @menoksen 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If the blue bowl was a different color (let's say green for an example) it would have to be given a different name (The Green Bowl as in our example.)
