the problem in this game for Grapplr is using kiting/spacing better to get kills and hard carry, this mechanics applies to everyone not only adcs and control mages.

It's literally a turret destroying competition, not about killing. Combing minions knowledge with champion spells, that's the only way using one character to counter 5 enemys by yourself.

Ryze is a high skill cap champ cuz you have different combos tht you need to pull off. In any case you might wanna use Q>>W>>Q>>E>>Q combo on Ryze
