Actually, I enjoyed the multiple continuances on the 'easy' project. It is 'real life' in action and as a bonus, we got to see what Chef Meg was cooking up each day. 👍👍👍 Be Blessed
This is what or I should say, HOW I cook. I do however, use a recipe when I bake. Meh has a lot of experience and remember, the family eats 3 meals a day.
That fancy raman supper looks amazing! ❣ Congratulations Ben on getting the skirting project behind you; it really does look very nice. Have fun with the class this weekend, y'all 🎉 See ya next week😊
It's always good to get some good work to put on a resume. Even if it's just for a few months. Any vehicles they can drive, any farm tools they can use. It's all good.
The skirting looks really good. Hopefully, you will find the time soon to start on the addition y'all need. I bet it's gonna be amazing. Love that the baby likes hanging with her daddy so much. Precious memories for you both.
Bret and Corbyn work too! They are great helpers for Meg and Ben in many tasks! All the Hollar kids are so well rounded/grounded! Smart, watchful parents Ben and Meg are!!
Ben, I don't think I hit send when I commented on the citrus greenhouse within a greenhouse video. I was trying to tell you that I wrapped my citrus with INCANDECENT Christmas lights, draped a towel over the top and then enclose everything in a black contractor bags to protect my citrus which is planted in the ground and they survived 18 degrees. Just an idea for you.
The best wishes for a blessed warm and contented winter. Your warm feet will enable your season of rest, planning and crafting for the coming year. Those who help themselves!
Congratulations on finishing the underpinning. I'm sure this winter will be much warmer. 🤗Dinner looks like a fancy restaurant meal. 🥰 Take care and God Bless. 🙏♥️
That $300.00 tin of patè looked right up my alley! Love the stuff! A very small square of it at a local cheese shoppe goes for $12.00....just sayin'....👀🤔👍🏅💯
You are definitely Milly’s person Ben. She runs straight to you every time she gets you in sight. House skirting looks fab and food looked lush. Hope all goes to plan at the class.
Never get tired of watching the Hollars, no matter what your doing.! Love your work ethic and learnt so much from you. Buggie is just so adorable, the boys are really young men these days and Meg in the kitchen is just mesmerising (she really needs her own channel!) Yes...I admit it...I love the Hollars.....I wanna be a Hollar!! 😂😂😂
🙋🏼♀️🕊. If you add some mushrooms to the pate , I would make chicken livers with (mushroom onions garlic spices ) minced and chilled, came out great. You are a wonderful woman I all around , Megan. Feeding all those guys of yours all day. .the kitchen is your stage. 💞🕊💞🕊💞🕊💞🕊. Blessings to your family 💞🕊💞🕊
You did such a professional job of putting the skirting on your home. It looks fantastic. I love watching your little helper, too. 🙂 It's great to hear what the boys are doing. They have experience with that kind of thing from your homestead. Good life lessons.
Large black barrels of water in the green house will heat up during the day when the sun is out and release their heat slowly through the night when it gets cold. A heat sync.
WooHoo!! Job well done 👍🏻 It would be so awesome if you could find some of those oval cast iron vents like the houses in New Orleans. My Grandma’s house didn’t have those vents, it wasn’t closed in, so we got under there and made Barbie Doll city lol. My cousin had the big camper. I made the Barbie clothes. I probably spent more time at their house than mine lol. We were in 3rd grade riding the streetcar by ourselves to go swimming at the YMCA. Can’t do that these days. Seeing little Sister sitting on her booster seat, looking so posh and totes adorbs, reminded me of sitting on the NOLA phone book lol. That was my booster seat hahaha 😆 I bet the boys are loving having a job and making some money. Have a FUNtastic weekend!!
So happy to see the house trimmed out now. Looks so nice. I really like the color like it is. Vent. My parents had eves vents on their house that were metal with small like drilled holes in them. Nothing could ever get into the house through them small ish holes. I think you could easily make some. Just some small square tin sheets with some drilled holes in them. Spray paint them and screw them on. Glad for the boys to have their first jobs. It is a rare job for now a days. They can be proud of jobs done well and their own money in pockets. Teach them to put 10% of earnings straight into a personal savings account. It will compound quickly. Habit for life. Soon they will be driving on their own. It will be so nice to have extra drivers in the family soon. With restrictions at first. I remember how nice it was to take first trip with my son driving and me in the backseat resting. It is so great.
Hello Ben and family from west Tennessee. I know that things have changed in construction and supplies used. When I was a sprout and installed skirting for mobile homes way back when, we used a louvered fixed vent and they worked great. Congratulations on a job well done 🙌👍👊
This has been a fun project to see Ben. Was that 66°F in the greenhouse? Nice! That golf cart is great! Yay, citrus survived! Nice, the twins are packing meat for a deer processor. It looks so nice all finished! Those sourdough bread loaves look amazing! Liver pate. Dinner of fancy ramen! Looks delicious! I like the soft boiled eggs added too. Yum, braised garlic! Sliced grilled steak, cabbage, peeled carrots, mushrooms, and roast lamb stock, sounds tasty! I hope the pig class goes well! Thanks for this video Hollar family!
I hope you keep the camera running during dinner and keep some of those cards. We found an old audio tape of when my dad just got a tape recorder and we just let it run during dinner - nothing special. That is one of my favorite recordings; just hearing a routine meal. (Now, at our house as I suspect it is at your house, dinners could be routinely hilarious, so it wasn't just a bunch of sounds of people eating)
Never get tired of see you make improvements on your homestead. No matter if its in the garden, orchard, shop or your home. Its nice to see you better your situation. And it also looks really nice. Good job, Ben. Glad the hear the twins are making some pocket money and gain so life skills from others. It never hurts to learn from multiple teachers. Meg that broth made my mouth water watching it simmer. Your supper made me hungry, and I had just came homefrom eating at the chinese buffet with my oldest daughter.
Congratulations on the completion of your project Ben! Well done! I admire your zeal in all you do for your beloved family. So responsible, a good example to all your boys ❤ Meg enjoy watching you put the effort and love in all your meal preps and how Ben takes pride in the food you serve. God bless your family abundantly! Have a great weekend!😊
Not tired of watching this at all. Enjoying e very minute. Loved the before and after. Most of your viewers I would watch your channel because of projects like this😊
Ben,that is beautiful, that would have easily cost thousands of dollars to hire it out.great job,and I never get tired of watching you do self projects, the projects you all do is amazing. So keep them coming. Stay safe my friends
❤ wow what a differences the skirting makes! Great job! You said a few times about building a new chicken shackk, I think that would be really cool to see. Maybe before you get too busy next spring but after it so cold. Always enjoy watching
Wonderful video! As usual. Love your family’s progress on the homestead. You could write a couple of “how to “ books- one on a variety of homestead construction etc stuff and one on Meg’s cooking. God bless! And maybe a kids book about a little girl , her Daddy and riding the tractor together? 😉👍🏻❤️🙏
Ben on the video as I am seeing it, the new skirting looks like a concrete foundation. You will be happy you got this done as the cold weather is just begining. Congratulations. What a great experience for the twins. Taking them and getting them takes a chunk of your day but I'm sure they will be driving soon. And before you know it they will be gone. OM G that ramen looks sooo. Good Meg.
Congratulations Ben on a job well done!!! The skirting looks beautiful and you guys will be warmer this winter! Meg, that dinner looked so delicious🍜🍜!!! Little Buggy is so very adorable 💜💜! I hope your last class will go well and I hope it doesn’t rain🤗!
Your kids are very well fed with a healthy diet, Meg is a cooking fanatic. And love the little princess that waits at the end to tell everyone "goodbye" 😊😊
Your property is looking great. I've watched from the beginning when you were touring in your RV. All the family has worked since you first settled in NC. Would you please say all the kids names when you wish us a Merry Christmas.
My 86 yr old mom spent a few days at my house and watched some homesteading videos with me. I ask what she wanted to watch and she said she wanted to watch that man that’s underpinning his mobile home. She said she liked your content. lol.
it did take longer than anticipated, but I'm celebrating another FINISHED project! Congrats! Your hard work and diligence is paying off. As far as the greenhouse is concerned, I don't keep my citrus in mine, but I do currently have tomato plants double plastic wrapped and they are blooming... LOL So hopefully your citrus will start to bloom as well.
Thank you thank you for this video. Love watching you guys.❤😊 buggy is so very cute. She loves her daddy. That looks awesome. Very good. Good work Ben. Yes that looks really nice.😊 Meg could open a restaurant the way she cooks and make that bread my gosh it looks like store-bought people pay money for that bread. It’s not cheap when you buy it looking like that it’s not where I live. I live in Michigan, so yeah I love watching your family, I’m addicted lol
Good job Ben! Building a homestead from almost scratch has been a tremendous amount of work and you did it when time, energy and money allowed.
Actually, I enjoyed the multiple continuances on the 'easy' project. It is 'real life' in action and as a bonus, we got to see what Chef Meg was cooking up each day. 👍👍👍 Be Blessed
You guy's started that place from scratch !! And you did a terrific job !! Such an inspiration
Get the boys to work at Lowe's and get that sweet sweet employee discount 😂
That's such a good idea
😂😂😂😂😂😂
If Lowes is not too far away, that could work it’s quite a few miles. Cost a lot in gas to drive back-and-forth for a job. Nice idea. Nice idea.
I wish Meg would talk instructions during her cooking as she goes. Amazing cook!
she does sometimes
She does it by eye. She uses her experience not measures. We have asked for a recipe book for ages but she never writes anything down.
This is what or I should say, HOW I cook. I do however, use a recipe when I bake.
Meh has a lot of experience and remember, the family eats 3 meals a day.

YOUR Home is looking fantastic. Great job completing the skirting.
It will be nice and cozy inside
Your Home.
Now Meg can plant pretty shrubs and/or flower beds around the house!
Sometimes self needs a pat on the back. And it’s looking great 👍
Can you use some of the space under the mobile home for cold storage? Maybe insulated bins? Love your get it done attitude!
Sounds good, if it works!
@@leroyjohnsonsr8481that is how they do it in Japan.

Porch off the back overlooking the garden , would be awesome too!! lol we want to keep you busy.
Ben,as your children grow life actually gets busier... Just another season of life. You all have great kids and it a pleasure to watch them grow!
Amen
The skirting looks really good. Hopefully, you will find the time soon to start on the addition y'all need. I bet it's gonna be amazing. Love that the baby likes hanging with her daddy so much. Precious memories for you both.
Good job! Now you need to build a set of steps so your lovely wife can get out the back door!!!😂😂😂
Can't wait to see back porch. It will be sweet!

Just listen to the love Milly gives you, and that tail is straight up that shows that love.
Poor baby is probably cold.
@@jhannon9495, seriously? She's an outside cat. She would be miserable if she had to live in the house. Good grief.
