Agree with what was suggested. I would suggest to rethink the entire achitecture using serverless approach and use Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, SES and API Gateway.
@@vipsclassicalboy instead of Microservices you can go for a nano service based architecture and run your lambdas. Now it's up to you to choose the runtime of lambda (python, node.js, Java, Java + spring boot). Suggestions to choose a runtime is which is fast and whose boot time is fast. If your application runs only when needed and is event based you save on the cost as well. Hope this helps.
