I-lock wont accept some key codes ... back and forwards between sites, back and forward downloading all over the place. The system needs to be streamlied. One click FFS. Also, hell knows how I get content expansions.. I bought a couple to get me going and they are not showing in the Inmusic registration zone. It's a joke.
This video already seems out of date. I just purchased an MPC Studio Mk 2 and tried to install the software today and instead gives me the MPC Studio Software Manager. Unfortunately something seems broken in the activation process as the Serial/MPC key provided doesn't activate the MPC software
I have a new MacBook Air 2024 and I’m not seeing how to download the driver for my MPC LIVE. I haven’t been able to find the driver installer program that allows me to choose the MPC LIVE for install. I have MPC2 on my MacBook but when I connect the MPC LIVE it keeps telling me the driver isn’t installed. Feel like the answer is right under my nose but I could use a little help.
Not joking. Same driver problem. It feels the driver won't work for MacBook Air 2024 and there's no way back, because the software works in my old laptop which has the same setting. Let me know if you found anything! This is driving me crazy. I used to think it's because I'm using a MPC renaissance. If even MPC Live has the same problem, it;s even worse.
@@chrislandy5597 Make sure to download the latest MPC SYNTH MANAGER. There are TWO. I had the same problem. Get the new one. Download the drivers on there. It will fix the issue.
same here with mpc one and mpc 2.15.1 soft, there wasnt any option to choose instal driver for mpc, just classic mac instalition process, no fancy window like on video :/
Where do I download the drivers from? The MPC 2 version I just downloaded for my MPC ONE doesn't show the option to pick the MPC ONE as shown in the video and it doesn't have the option to install the drivers, it just goes directly to the installation process. Since I have no option to install the drivers the software on my mac is complaining about them.

Brother I am literally doing the exact same thing right now. Lol. I'm like wait wtf is this shit now... I'm thinking maybe they changed how it's set up, so it's maybe integrated into one of the other programs? Idk man this was much more complex than most setups that I've ever done lol

I lock an app Kai and I don't have a file for that file for that. It's taking me a week to get the app on my new computer. It's almost enough to make me go somewhere else

Had the Live 2 since release. Never used controller mode. Just got Stems, it will not connect to controller mode. It says the drivers are out of date. What? I’m on version 2.14 on both the software and on my Live… Where tf are the driver downloads??! I can’t even use Stems.
Akai is such a headache. I got my MPC professional 11 years ago and there were so many issues with either the serial number, or using the MPC application and I contacted them for help and they never got back to me and I was never able to use it until today and there were still issues with the MPC application and not having any samples in it so I can’t even use it still. After 11 years!!!!!
Wow, what a mess, Akai doesn't get it. How many accounts and activations do people have to make to use this. What is this ilock crap, it's the reason I went away from Akai. I just wanted to set up a used Mpc Live with the latest software and work immediately. I saw the Akai process and went with a used Roland MC-707, plugged it in downloaded the update with no account needed and was working minutes later.
I was a musician now I’m a computer tech lol I got all mine working but it’s took getting tired of it one day and quitting till I felt mentally able to go through all these steps it works great though after weeks of computer science 😂

After reading the comments here I was absolutely terrified to attempt this and yes it does seem an incredibly complex way of doing something relatively straightforward, but somehow I managed to do it😊
Just got the MPC 37 yesterday. I spent over 8 hours setting up, Looking for Ilok, making in music account, downloading this, restarting that, installing this. So confusing, the worst first impression yet and I still haven't played a single note and no where close to knowing what I installed where it is, how many new accounts I have and if I am even finished with the process and am I ready to start using the damn keyboard. I think this video is out of date too, and only a year old. Im already turned off and far from inspired to dive down this rabbit hole
Had the Live 2 about 2 years ago and sold it. Just bought a used studio mk2 and a new computer, however my old computer is done for. Will it be possible to dowload my old software yo the new computer for use with the studio mk2?
what are the guidelines for installing the driver in regards to having the hardware connected? Normally manufacturers are very clear that the device needs to be disconnected and connected at a specific timing of the steps??

Horrible!... half of the functions don't work! some of the symbols in the program are missing! I did everything according to the video - the program was activated for 7 days... Dislike to the video and minus to Akai's reputation!
This is the biggest bs ever! I just paid $2500 for this new instrument and have been trying to get this activated all weekend long. Makes me sick. I should have just bought an mpc 3000 and I would have been making music by now!
Ive worked with computers and ran a studio for over 20year and this is one of the worst setups ive done and i still cant resolve the missing synth manager bullshit on windows. Also cant pair it with Ableton. What a waste of your customers time. at least i have 30 days to return the Mpc LIVE. gonna give it another day or so then its going back. ABSOLUTE JOKE.
It’s unacceptable how you won’t just make the MPC Touch compatible with the newer Mac OS softwares it’s just updating the driver to make the touchscreen work again DO BETTER AKAI !!

The new way is to install In Music app and install the driver for your MPC model. Took a min to find out but now works!

It is also under the Activations tab under Preferences in the MPC Program. I hope this was somewhat helpful

Hi Johnny! Your MPC hardware does not need to be connected to your computer at any point during driver installation.

Well there is always Logic, beat making has evolved. The MPC so far is very complexed, redundant and not very user friendly.
